The budget calls for $171,940 for the education fund compared 1o $169,949 last ytjar. The reason for the increase was primarily due to the addition of classroom teachers, increases in salaries and employment of a speech correct ionist. The latter is shared with Gavin school, which will eventually reimburse Big Hollow for its proportionate share of service. In the transportation fund of the budget, the figure for the 1964-65 year is $11,520 compared to $9,850 the previous year. This increase is due mainly to the fact that additional service is being made in DISTRICT LEGION AUXILIARY WILL . INSTALL OFFICERS The 11th district fall convention of the Legion Auxiliary will be held Saturday, Oct. 3, at the American Legion home, 21 S. Second street, Geneva. Registrations will begin at 9 a.m. and the convention will start promptly at 9:30. The Department Caravan will be directed by our Department President Mrs.. Charles Boyd and hef Chairmen. The entire morning will be devoted to the department programs as outlined for the year. Luncheon will be served at the Congregational church, Fourth and Hamilton street, Geneva. Also authorized was purchase of plastic drapes for both new and old classrooms. Visualcraft of Blue Island was considered the best bid at $2,358. Architect Robert Swanson was present at. the meeting and the board suggested that he begin preparing check lists as soon as possible.
