One daughter, Helen Thompson, died in an auto accident two years ago. John Freund and Emma Tony an were married Sept. 26, 1909 in St. John's church and have resided on the same farm all of their married life. Mr. Freund started the dairy business about twenty-three years ago and it is now operated by his sons. Wed Recently Recent Bride MRS. Main street, McHenry, in a pretty wedding solemnized Aug. 22 in Advent Christian church in Baraboo. The bride attended Sauk County Teachers college in Reedsburg, Wis., and Auora college, 111. At present she is a teacher at Valley View school, McHenry, where she instructs second graders. PATRICK'S CHURCH SETTING FOR FALL WEDDING St. Patrick's Catholic church was the setting for a lovely fall wedding on Saturday, Sept. 19, when Miss Nancy Joyce Cusack, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Cusack of 3005 X. Oakwood avenue, McHenry, became the bride of Mr. Gene R. Glosson, son of Mr. and Mrs William Glosson of 5402 W. Ri. 120. McHenry. Fr. John Cusack officiated at the nuptial rite, assisted by Fr. Joseph Cusack. Fr. Donald Cusack and Fr. Raymond Cusack, all uncles of the bride. Mrs. Carl Weber was organist for the Mass, sung by Earl i Marty) Conway. The church was decorated for the wedding with bouquets of white glads on the main altar and roses and stephanotisr on the Blessed Virgin's altar. The pretty bride wore a gown fashioned of sheer overtaffeta, adorned with alencon lace. Her fitted bodice and long, pointed sleeves were complemented by the extensive use of the lace forming a portrait neckline. Her skirt was straight and slim in front, with side fullness extending to a chapel train. Mis Cusack had a three-tiered veil of silk illusion, held in place by an open crown hat of silk and lace flowers edged in pearls. She carried a bouquet of white orchids, white roses and stephanotis, tinged with yellow. Attending her as maid of hohor was Miss Ella Rose Cusack of Chicago, a cousin, and bridesmaids were Miss Nancy Piatt of McHenry and Mrs. Barbara Glosson of Rt. 1, Cary. The flower girl was Dorothy Cusack, sister of the bride. TheyWore emerald green, taffeta, fltw^length gowns with sculptured necklines, fitted bodices with inserts of alencon lace cummerbunds, bracelet length sleeves and semi-bell skirts. Their matching flower shell crowns of maline held two-tiered bouffant veils. Accessories were in emerald green, and they wore crystal necklaces. All carried white roses and glads, with emerald green pom poms in the center. - Dean Glosson, brother of the bride, served as best man and groomsmen were Tom Cusack and Ronald Glosson, brothers of the bride and groom, respectively. The ring bearer was Master Ronnie Glosson of Cary, nephew of the groom. Mrs. Cusack chose a candlelight sheath with matching three-quarter length coat, matching accessories, a hat in brown and beige shades and a corsage of white cymbidium orchids. Mrs. Glosson selected a brown lace sheath dress over pink beige, with which she wore matching accessories and corsage of white cymbidium orchids trimmed in beige. Twenty guests enjoyed breakfast at the Sail Inn, Fox Lake, at 2 o'clock. Later, between 275 and 300 friends and relatives gathered at the Johnsburg Community hall for a reception. Miss Barbara Cusack, sister of the bride, circulated the guest book. The young couple are enjoying a trip through Minnesota and into Canada. Upon their return they will reside at 4703 Home avenue, McHenry. Both the bride and groom graduated from McHenry high school in 1962. She is employed in the office at McHenry hospital and the groom by Lakeland Construction company. ROSEMARY ROTI Wonder- Lake Girl To .Marry Nov. 21 Mr. and Mrs. Rocco Roti of Wonder. Lake announce the engagement of their daughter. Rosemary Ann, to Don Lambert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lambert, Sr., of Beaverville, 111. Miss Roti. an MCIIS graduate. received her degree from Illinois State university in June and is teaching in Oak Lawn. Her fiance received his master's degree in the school of psychology from Illinois State university at Normal in 1963. He will be serving his psychological internship in Tinley Park. A Nov. 21 wedding is planned. Bridal Showers For Patricia Miller Miss Patricia Miller was neous bridal shower last Thursday at the home of Mrs. Merle Freund. A buffet lunch was served to twenty-five friends and relatives from' a table decorated with a bridal umbrella. Out of town guests were present from Waukegan, Northbrook, Winthrop Harbor, Deerfield and Winnetka. Miss Miller was honored again on Sunday at a shower held at the home of Mrs. Elmer Hettermann, with her bridesmaids as hostesses. They are Mrs. Richard Williams, Mrs. David Stromberg and Mrs. Robert Callero. The centerpiece included a bridal umbrella-which had been used at the shower for Mrs. Stromberg, and a bridal doll which enhanced the table at a shower for Mrs. Williams. Cake and coffee were served to thirty friends and relatives. Miss Miller will become the bride of Daniel R. Bengston on Oct. 10. SQUARE DANCE CLUB A series of fourteen weeks of square dancing will start on Sept. 29 at the Wauconda beach house, Main street, north of Rt. 176, at 8 p.m. It is known as the Swinging Pairs Square Dance club. Beginners meet once a week on Tuesday nights. The advanced group meets the first and third Wednesdays of each month at the Wauconda grade school. The club is open to all square dancers. Miss Mahoney Wed Saturday A beautiful September wedding was solemnized last Saturday, the nineteenth, in St. Pat rick's Catholic church when N^iss Colleen Jean Mahoney became the bride of Mr. Kenneth D. Hettermann. Rev. Raymond Hettermann officiated at the 10 o'clock nuptial high Mass. The church was decorated for the occasion with bouquets of blue and white flowers dyed to match the colors of the attendants' attire. Earl "Marty" Conway was soloist for the occasion, and Mrs. Carl N. Weber presided at the organ. Miss Mahoney is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph T. Mahoney of 3706 W. Elm street, McHenry, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hettermann of 505 N. Front street. Pretty, dark4-haired Miss Mahoney approached the altar wearing a floor length dress with train forming a bustle, fashioned of three layers of lace, The dress was styled with bodice embroidered in sequins and pearls and full length lace sleeves. Her round headpiece of aurora borealis and pearls stood high, holding in place a fingertip veil. Acting as maid of honor was Margaret Jean Parisi of McHenry, and bridesmaids were Jolene Anderson and Theresa Hettermann of Chicago and Mary Jean Mahoney of Elmwood Park. They wore turquoise satin sheath dresses covered with turquoise velveteen coats and matching accessories. Their U-shaped crescent bouquets were made up of white pom poms and carnations dyed to match their dresses. Little Mary Agnes Hart of Elmhurst was the flower girl, wearing a turquoise velveteen dress and matching headpiece with veiling. She carried a basket of flowers which she dropped aiong the way to the altar. Kevin Shay of McHenry was the ring bearer. The best man was Richard Huemann of Johnsburg, groomsmen were Joseph Hettermann of Johnsburg, Terrance Mahoney of McHenry and David Stromberg of Chicago, and ushers were Michael Mahoney of Elmwood Park and Victor Miller of McHenry. Mrs. Mahoney selected a royal blue suit with matching accessories for the morning Mass, and in the evening wore an emerald green cocktail dress with green accessories. Mrs. Hettermann wore a pink suit with cranberry accessories in the morning, changing for the reception to a white and gold suit with matching accessories. A breakfast for fifty guests was held at the Wing 'n Fin club Immediately following the ceremony. At 6 o'clock in the evening 400 friends and relatives gathered there for a reception. The newlyweds enjoyed a honeymoon to the Wagon Wheel in Rockford, after which they will reside in Richmond. The bride graduated from Marian Central Catholic high school in 1963, attended Northern Illinois university, and i9 employed as a secretary. DAR MEETING Members of the 4th division of Daughters of the American Revolution recently met in Elgin in the First Methodist church. There were morning seminars, a luncheon, and afternoon talks by state and local officers. One of the most interesting aspects of this conference was the emphasis on the youth of the country and the help which this organization gives in this direction.
