Xburtday, October 1,1984 THE McHENBY FLAINDEALER fiaetfnn Thn^'Ii -t&m PISTAKEE HIGHLANDS KAY 8IELISCH 497-3414 Death Claims Senior Citizen Our deepest sympathy to Ray and Sadie Cunningham on the death of Ray's father, Peter A. Cunningham, who passed away Sept. 17, at 9:20 p.m. twenty minutes after he had been admitted to St. Therese hospital suffering from pneumonia. Peter had been home from the hospital less than a week after being there for five weeks, and undergoing major surgery. He was 78 years young at the time of his death and was a member of the Electricians local 134. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret I. Cunningham, nee Dunne 12 years ago. Other survivors are a son, John, of Roselle, and four grandchildren. The body rested at the K. K. Hams her funeral home in Fox Lake. Following a funeral mass at St. Bede's church in Ingleside he was buried in Calvary cemetery in Evanston, Monday, September 21. A great many neighbors and friends from here paid their last respects. Peter will be missed by many of us and I know I shall miss his cheery greeting and smile, his quick wit and sharpness. Most every day at the mailbox, I was greeted with "Hi Boss, would you see if there is a love letter in there for me." Peter had lived here a little over three years and had made a host of friends. It is ironic, I greeted Peter with a cup of coffee and a piece of pie the day he moved here, and the day he died my last act for Peter was a cup of coffee late that afternoon. Farewell Peter and when my time comes to meet our Maker, I hope I shall have half as many friends and neighbors pay their respects to me. That is the greatest tribute one can receive. May you rest in peace.
