Adams exchanged nuptial vows in a beautiful wedding ceremony which took place Saturday, Sept. 12, in St. Mary's Catholic church at 10 o'clock. They are making their home on Plymouth Lane, McHenry. 6 shop HERE AND THERE IN BUSINESS Richard Potter, a personable employee of the Admiral corporation in Harvard for two years, has been named general manager of the re-opened Admiral plant in McHenry. Prior RICHARD POTTER to coming here he served as radio, stereo and component division manager at Harvard. Opening only three weeks ago, the local plant now employs 110, mostly women, and expects to increase this number to from 300 to 350. Mr. Potter resides with his wife, Emma, anemone son, Jack, in Crystal Lake. Another son, James, is married and lives at Griswold Lake. PLAN MERGER Agreement by the managements of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific railroad and the Chicago and North Western Railway company on principal terms for a proposed merger of the two companies was announced last week by William J. Quinn, president of the Milwaukee Road, and Ben W. Hieneman, chairman of the North Western. The two railroads executives said in a joint statement that the agreement was "the first step in a unification that would produce a stronger, more efficient railroad with benefits to all interests--investors, employs, shippers and the public as a whole. "In face", they said, "we are convinced that there are no other two railroads in the nation that, in combination, could bring greater benefits to all interested groups." Rep. Robert McClory of Lake Bluff, who represents Boone, Lake and McHenry counties in the U. S. Congress, has arranged for Mrs. Luce to speak at the dinner. Mrs. Luce, who gave a seconding speech for Sen. Barry Goldwater at the GOP national convention, is a former U. S. Ambassador to Italy and served as a member of Congress from Connecticut from 1943 to 1947. The wife of Henry R, Luce, publisher of Time and Life magazines, Mrs. Luce is a former editor of- Vogue magazine, newspaper column i s t a n d p l a y w r i g h t . Enos, 350 Hirst Ct., Lake Bluff, have announced a "Republicans for Yager" organization has been officially started in Lake and McHenry counties to boost the candidacy of Hon. Philip W. Yager as circuit court judge in the November election; Mr. Enos said that the group will be composed entirely of Republican volunteers who want to work for Judge Yager's candidacy.
