Auxiliary Meets Tonight The Pistakee Terrace Women's auxiliary will meet this evening, Thursday, Oct. 8, beginning at 8 p.m. at' the home of Pat Ferrell, 1217 W. Circle Drive. Pat expects to be home in time for the meeting after spending one week in the McHenry hospital. If she is required to stay longer interested parties will be notified as to the new meeting place. Please make an effort to be present since the finances of the Pistakee Terrace Association rely a great deal on the fund raising done by the auxiliary. Welcome Mat With the beginning of school and the cooler weather the auxiliary welcome ^committee will be catching up on welcoming of new residents. First family on this season's stop were the George Knckls at 1207 W. Oakleaf Avenue. George and Rochelle moved to the Terrace from McCullom Lake in August purchasing the home owned by the Bob Kettners. Completing the Krickl family is their 8 month old baby boy, George, Jr. George works in McHenry as a tool and die apprentice and Rochelle adds to their income with local employment also, The Krickls attend tne Methodist church and from what I've been told George will discuss politics with anyone he can corher. A hearty welcome tyK'his young family. Cub Scouts Three Dens from Pack 452 met at the home of Kay Fredricks on Thursday in the Village of Sunnyside for a weinie roast to officially open the year. Dens participating at the cook-out included Kay's den, Carol Kennebeck's den from Sunnyside Estates and our own den 4 under the leadership Of Marilyn Wiggerman and Joan Stull. Twenty-eight boys both seasoned scouts and newcomers enjoyed themselves. New members in Den 4 include Jay Connerty, Mark Wiggerman and Bobby Kennebeck. The dens will not officially meet until after the October pack meeting. As is so often the case there are more interested boys than mothers and some boys will have to be put on a waiting list unless more den mothers can be found. Won't you please help these young children. Belonging to an organization like the Scouts is such a help in forming our leaders of tomorrow. Mothers, feeding and clothing your children does not end your job in bringing them up. Won't you join the Cub Scout organization too?
