Attend Thomas Family Reunion Mr. and Mrs. Walter Low and family traveled to Moline for a Saturday evening with friends, and on Sunday went to a Thomas family reunion in Milan. There were seventyfive Iowa and Illinois Thomases present. Barnard Mill Teen Club Notes • i ' Oct. 30, the Barnard Mill Teen Club will have a Halloween Dance at the American Legion Hall in McHenry. All record hops that fall on home football games will have their times changed from 7 to 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. But there will be a record hop every Friday, except for homecoming weekend. I've been on the phone and just sitting and thinking for the past 1% hours without any luck in the way of news. No news -- no column. No column and eventually we will loose the space that the Plaindealer has been kind enough to allot us each week. We have never been limited on space, and still, week after week I have to scratch for news. I would like to make one more plea for news. I can easily report on the functions which I personally attend, but I don't attend athletic club meetings, I don't belong to or have children who do attend Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Girl Scout or Brownies (if they had a leader). Hence, most of the news in the column concerns the Woman's Club which I do attend, H.H.P.O.A. meetings, which I do attend, activities from the church I attend Bible class which I attend, and news on my immediate neighbors and my family. Now, I'm sure that every neighborhood has news, and every organization has some news from time to time. Could I have a representative from each organization inform me and how about a few calls from your neighborhood? Please? November Project All you gals from Woman's Club, if you haven't already, will soon be receiving a call from one of the members of the committee in charge of the project for November. Instead of the usual bazaar held that moftth, the project will be a popular size doll with a complete wardrobe. Each member is being contacted to help build the wardrobe into something really spectacular. Don't miss that November meeting.
