Following a" turkey dinner, with all the trimmings, cards and visiting made up an enjoyable afternoon. Guests were Mrs. John J. Scheid, the Norman and Elrrjer Scheid families, of Woodstock, Mr. and Mrs. Christy Burns of Waukegan and Julia, Rinse and Margaret Stilling. • Mrs. A. J. Richardson, Misses Helen Stevens and Francos riughes have returned from an enjoyable vacation in the New E)igl&hd States. • Mrs. Robert Conway, accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Carl Blanner of Rockford spent a-few days the past week with the latter's sister, Mrs. George Fornoff, in Omaha, Nebr. Mr.'and Mrs. Robert Thompson and Miss Maude Granger returned Friday evening from a three weeks sight-seeing trip through the west and southwest. In Oklahoma City they spent some time with a cousin, Mrs. Burton Whitely. 'Mr. and Mrs. William Jordan attended the wake of a friend, Joseph Loroch in Chicago Tuesday. •Mr-, and Mrs. Allan Taylor have moved from an apartment at 3813 W. Main street to Ohio where they plan to make their h6me. .The Patrick Smith family of Elgin were Sunday visitors in tlje home of their aunt, Mrs. Walter Walsh. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Phalin of Waukegan called on Mrs. Robert Knox Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Conway accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Harold Phalin of Waukegan, returned Friday from a vacation at Gatlinburg, Tenn. Enroute home they visited places of interest in N. Carolina and W. Virginia. Mrs. Frieda Bienapfl of Skokie visited McHenry friends Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Engdahl have returned from an enjoyable trip by train to the state of Washington where they spent some time in Tacoma, Spokane, Seattle and Puyallup. In the latter three places they visited relatives of Mrs. Engdahl, whom she hadn't seen in more than 40 years, who took them on several sight-seeing trips. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Blake visited their daughter, Sister Charles Marie, at Marycrest, Kankakee, Sunday. Included in the out of town folks here to attend the Manke- Thompson wedding last Saturday were: Mr. and Mrs. Edward Thompson and Terry of Omaha, Nebr., Mr. and Mrs. John Thompson of Kansasville, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hartley and Mrs. Tina Kist of Chicago; the James Wagner family of /Milton, Wis.; the Robert Wajyman family of Arlington Heights; the Carl Elshoff family of Springfield; and the Marion Messman family of Woodstock. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bienapfl and Mr. and Mrs. A1 Grever enjoyed a weekend vacation in Michigan and Wisconsin where they called on friends in Phillips and Neenah. E. H. Winkleman has returned from a several days visit in the home of his son, James, and family in Tarrytown, N. Y. Miss Walsh was a former resident at Orchard Beach and the Country Club subdivision. James Freund of Chattanooga, Tenn., has been vacationing with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Freund, before entering the service. Old friends here have received word of the death of Clarence H. Klinger of 1384 Mahoning avenue, Wfirren, Ohio, which occurred on Oct. 8. He was the husband of the former Irene Harruff who taught music in the local schools in 1916-17. Gerald Blake was a weekend guest of relatives in Delphos, Glendorf and Ft. Jennings, Ohio. Sister Mary Charles accompanied by five other nuns and three lay teachers of St. Theresa school in East Aurora were supper guests of the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John R. Freund, Thursday evening. They were enroute home after attending a meeting at Marian high school at Woodstock. j Mr. and Mrs. James Hoysen and her father, Walter Frisby, of Sioux Falls, S. D., spent a few days the past week in the home of the latter's brother, Robert J. Frisby, Sr. While here Mr. Frisby and daughter, Lenore, accompanied them to Oak Park to visit another brother, Thomas Frisby, and help his wife celebrate her eightyeighth birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Meyer spent the weekend with their son, Donald (Butch), a student at Hamline university in St. Paul, Minn., where they attended parents' day. Mrs. Florence Wetzel of Winnetka was a weekend guest in the Robert J. Frisby, Sr., home. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mancini of Chicago were Saturday evening visitors in the Robert J. Frisby, Jr., home.
