The location will be the barns ?s,Pj.aV® are ma<*e to flood the ballfield. This rink will be maintained by the residents of our community and snow re* moval done by our popular local gas station. An effort is being made to organize a hockey team which will play Saturdays and Sundays. All boys from the ages of 10 to 17 years interested in playing should have their parents contact nichard Hawkins at 385-5106 for details. Homemakere October's meeting of Homemakers took place in the home of Dee Penick. The lesson was on family goals and values given by Mrs. Brunswick. This is the Hingwood-Wonder Lake Group and at this meeting the name was changed to the Mc- Henry Unit. They meet monthly at 10:30 a.m. Dee served a delicious lunch. The next meeting will be at Kay Mitchell's on Nov. 3. The lesson will be on preparedness for emergencies. Everyone is invited to attend. Why not come as a gues# two or three times and then decide if you would like to join them regularly. They learn and have a lot of fun at the same time. Faith Presbyterian Church News On Thursday, Oct. 22, at/8 p.m. choir practice will be h/ld Friday, Oct. 23, at 3:30 fm. the Junior choir will practise. Pastor Jack Mclntyre will attend a new church development conference at Stronghold near Oregon, 111., on Oct. 22 23. Sunday, Oct. 25, The sermon title will be "The Biblical Basis of Stewardship." Sunday evening will be the first of a series of two small group meetings in homes of the congregation at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, 8 p.m. at the church the fourth and last weekly discussion in theology for teachers will be held. At 11 a.m. Tuesday all the women of Faith church* will have a bowling party at Mc- Henry Recreation. There will be sitter facilities at the church available for the small children. Theis, who is staying here with them, and her niece and husband, Mr. and Mrs. G. Koath, and tons, Johnny and Christopher, from Carpentersville. Honor guests, Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Ann's dad was really surprised as he was coming out to celebrate little Lisa Ritter's third birthday! Sally Lightholder will be married in January. With the coming holidays the time will fly and the wedding day will soon arrive. Condolences We express our condolences to young Mike Sobacki who broke his ankle during football practice. This big boy is now out of football for the season and the team sure will miss his playing. Mike feels pretty bad about missing out of these great games too but he will be all mended just in time for wrestling! What next Mother and how's your insurance on this all-round athlete? Bunco Club The first get-together .Of the season was held Oct. 14 with all eight players present. Judy Huemann was not named as a member In the previous news of this club. Frieda Durkln was the hostess and served a moist spicy pumpkin cake with a delicate orange icing. Kay Stephenson received a beautiful black purse as first prize. Bunco prize went to Thelma Massheimer while Jean Mersch accepted the booby prize. Keep Out! That's right, keep out of this list as here comes that busy little flu bug visiting. He is trying his best to get in touch with each and every one of us. Ginny Engstrom was on his list evidently a favorite by keeping sick over the 24-hour period. The Petersen children have also been down in bed, little Pauline with an ear infection. We hope all of you are well on the road to recovery now. Beatle Fan Sue Betke had her big moment in the life of a teen-ager as she thrilled to the singing of that popular Beatle group when they appeared in Chicago Sept. 5. She spent a week with her grandparents in the city and visited the loop attending the latest Beatle hit movie. Attends Wedding Eleanor Kuck had the honor of participating at her little brother's wedding Sept. 26. It was a big beautiful wedding with, the bride, Paulette, in the traditional lovely white gown. Eleanor's brother is 21 year old Billy Weyde of Chicago. The entire Kuck family attended the wedding and reception held in the city. They have some really beautiful colored snapshots of the family, the bride and groom, and the wed ding party and guests. In Closing The whole Manor seems to be a buzz with the coming of winter and many get-togethers.
