NWwmlwr !ll, 1964 McCullom Lake News EVE LEVESQUE 885-3191 GROOM LOCKED OUT AS BRIDE WA11S AT ALTAR AH was in readiness at the Community Methodist church last Saturday morning as Miss Donna Harris awaited the appearance of her groom, Tom Itejftfitt. The organist played a medley of appropriate music and then began the familiar strains of the wedding march as the minister took his place before the altar. The bride held her father's arm as they prepared to come down the aisle, but no groom and no best man appeared from the side entrance. When it was determined that the door was locked and the young men couldn't come through. Rev. Carder fortunately had a key, and the ceremony proceeded on schedule. Other details appear elsewhere in the Plaindealer. . The young couple couldn't have had a lovelier wedding day if they had ordered it specially made. The sun shone bright and warm with the mercury hitting almost 70 degrees. Donna, who is extremely at- $ "tractive and has a flawless complexion, was truly a story book bride in her floor length white taffeta gown. It is traditional in Donna's, family for the groom to present his bride With a pearl necklace to wear on her wedding day, and Tom complied. The newly wedding couple is honeymooning p at the Wisconsin Dells and will reside in their new home at Pistakee Bay which they have in readiness. We wish them every happiness for a long and fruitful marriage. Ladies Will Meet Tonight Members of the Ladies of the Lake will meet at 8 p.m. tonight in the beachhouse. There are many plans to discuss and they will end the evening with a social. All women of the community are cordially invited. PROFE^IQHRL DIRECTORY EARL. R. They purchased a very lovely big home on the Fox River and moved in last Wednesday. Their address is 1813 S. Fernwood. According to reports, Mark should have a wonderful time during the hunting season. We understand the area abounds with game. Their own boat and dock should provide many hours of enjoyment for the entire family. Sorry to see them leave but we wish them every joy in their new location. Monterey County, Calif. According to the Institute for Safer Living, a large share of intersection collisions result from entering the intersection too fast, particularly, fast starts after first coming to a stop or waiting for signals to change. Always be sure that the intersection is clear then proceed into it with caution. Meeting Results At the meeting of the McHenry Shores Club on the 5th a report was given on the dance of the 10th and Chairman Lindwall expressed disappointment on the sale of the tickets, some families returning all of them unsold. There is much room for improvement in the area of cooperating in the events held for the benefit of the club. Both clubs have spent quite a bit in improving the beach, putting in the fountain parties for the kids, picnics and slide in the water and it doesn't seem like asking too much to expect support when we are .trying to raise money since all of us do use the beach. No doubt you have noticed the repairs on the roads done last Tuesday. It sure is nice not to have to dodge those big holes. Anniversaries Helen and Frank Jacek will be celebrating their fortieth anniversary on Nov. 15. Congratulations to them and all good wishes for many more happy years together.
