Flush as much of the stain out in fairly concentrated solution of neutral detergent and water. Lubricate the remaining portions of the stain with glycerin, working it in with the blunt edge of a knife or the back of a comb. Then flush again with the detergent-water solution. Q. Brown of Beverly Way, Spring Grove, was recently elected first vice-president of the Industrial Editors Association of Chicago. Mr. Brown is a staff specialist in employee communications for Warwick Electronics, Inc., Chicago, where he edits Warwick News. Married and the father of a four-year-old son, Brown has been a member of the IEAC since 1959. In 1964 he was elected second vice-president, and before that, he served as chairman of the organization's workshop committee. The IEAC, local chapter of an international organization, is comprised of professional editors who publish industrial, business, educational, and civic periodicals for major firms and organizations in this area. WINS SALES AWARD Frank C. Meyer, a member of the sales staff of Buss Motor Sales, 3936 W. Main St., McHenry, was presented Ford division's sales award at a banquet held Tuesday, March 23. D. O. Wiggins, Chicago Ford district sales manager, said the sales award is presented for excellent retail sales performance. NAMED MANAGER Robert Grom was recently named manager of the meat department in the Jewel Food Store located at 426 Lake Street, Antioch. Previously he was assistant meat department manager in the Jewel store at 144 Main Street, Barrington. Grom is a seventeen-year veteran of Jewel and during his TOTS ACCIDENTALLY POISONED In Illinois during 1964 nearly 13,000 accidental poisonings were reported among children under 12 years of age. The great majority were in the toddler group, ages one to three. Many thousands of cases are not reported and some were never recognized or treated. Illinois case statistics are obtained from the D2 poison control centers and other hospitals voluntarily reporting. Only a few more than half of the hospitals in the state report cases treated. Dr. Franklin D.
