The fall dance will be held on Nov. 13 at the Johnsburg Community Hnll on 2315 W. Church street. We will have the same orchestra as last year. More on these two events as they come up. Bob Harper tells us that there is something wrong with one of the valves in the pumping station and they hope to have it repaired this week. Pat Mueller Chosen in Youth Power Congress Pat Mueller was one of the 162 national delegates to attend the recent 'National Youth ' Power Congress' held in Chicago from March 24 to the 27th. , She was selected to represent northeastern Illinois at the Congress because of her interest in a balanced nutritional ' • program for the teen-agers, who comprise about 12 per. cent of the population in the United States. •rt Food industry people high lighted the 'Farm to Table' story and Olympic leaders Rev. Robert Richards and Muriel Davis Grossfeld also participated. It was not all work however as the delegates had one evening on the town with a food industry tour on Friday afternoon. Pat attended the ice show with the other Illinois delegates and her tour was to a salt company. At the closing session all delegates received • materials to help them continue the good eating habit crusade in their local areas. Pat is available to present the nutrition story to any of the local clubs and organizations that would have a spot on their program for her presentation. Brods Welcome Grandson " Neva and Philip Brod proudly announce their first grandson presented to them by son, Richard, and his wife, Gail. McCarrolls Have a Baby Bill and Pat McCarroll who reside at 3506 Biscayne had a tiny baby girl born on March •' 10. The baby was born 2% weeks early and weighed 3 lbs 12 ozs. at birth but is already' • up to 5 lbs., 7 ozs. Pat stayed at her mother's in Peoria while recuperating and the baby is in a hospital down there. They hope to get her home this weekend. This little bundle was named Kelly Marie, and she sure was tiny. Pat will be home now and would love to see some of her neighbors, since .their house is just a bit away from the rest i of the homes, so when the ^ weather gets better stop by and say hi to her. No fabulous scores to announce, Roberta says she just bowled. On Friday Roberta and the family went to Arlington Heights and had a delicious fish fry with the Ray Hall family. Ing Corcoran came back from Florida last Sunday to shiver in our cold weather after 80 degree temperatures for two weeks. While down in Vero Beach visiting her sister Ing took in some ball games played by the Dodgers who are in spring training down there. Department of Agriculture's announcement that the amended Chicago Federal milk market order went into effect on April 1 means that all Chicago market dairy farmers will continue to be assured at least the * Federal order price for their milk, A. L. McWilliams, general manager of Pure Milk Association, commented this week. The necessary two-thirds favorable vote to put the amended order into effect was attained when all Wisconsin dairy operating cooperatives which had voted against the amended order reversed their vote and approved the proposed order Monday.
