Sportsmen Want Participation This is just a reminder once again that the young men of baseball would like to see a few more parents out at their games. This is not an invitation just to parents though The boys will welcome any kind of an audience that will give them some moral support. You know most anyone can play better if they know someone is around' wat&hmg them. "I he Majors play here on Tuesday and Wednesday, the Minors on Monday and Friday, and the eight-year-olds on Thursday. The Majors are in uniform this year. Why not try to get out and see a few of the games? The boys will certainly apprecate it. Don't forget we also have a hard ball team, namely the Tigers, who play every Sunday, and two soft ball teams, Hettermanns and the Dog' House, who play on either Tuesdays or Thursdays at the V.F.W. .diamond in McHenry. These fellows would also like some grandstand participation. Joint Graduation Parties --Eatsy----and---Jim Me vers shared the spotlight in their home recently when they were guests ot honor at a joint graduation party. They are the children of Si and Bonnie Meyers. Patsy received her diploma from St. John's school and Jim is a recent graduate of the McHenry high school. Many relatives and friends were in the Meyers home to participate in the celebration. Cousins Jean and Joy Hettermann were honored with a graduation party last Tuesday evening in the Gerry Hettermann home. Both girls were in the St. John's graduating class. WILSON His last worship service was given by Rev. Ralph Wilson at Spring Grove Methodist church on Sunday, June 13. A farewell party was given for Pastor Wilson and his family in the church house on that day. His new assignment is in the Harmon and Nelson churches in the DeKalb district. Rev. Louis Hillendahl. a graduate of Scarrett eoHege, Nashville, Tenn., will take over the duties of Spring Grove church as well as Ingleside. He has been in Florida. One year ago he, his wife and two children returned from Southern Rhodesia, where he was in the mission field. They will reside in the parsonage in Ingleside. A dinner was given in the Delbert Kephart on Wednesday evening in his honor. Members of the church were present to meet the new pastor and his family. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. every Sunday in Spring Grove. Hudson-Freund Nuptials Miss Caroline Hudson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hudson, became the bride of Jack Freund, son of Mi's.
