William Holly of Pine, Ariz., spent, a few days the past week with his father, Warren Holly, whoro he was called by the death of his mother, Mrs. Mildred Holly. «Mr. and Mrs. James Thompson, Jr., have moved from 140K Richmond road to 1414 Freund avenue. 'John Hoffman of Indianapolis was an over night guest in the home of his aunt, Mrs. Annabel Aicher, Thursday. Other recent visitors in the Aicher home were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bickler of Des Plaines. •Mrs. Bernice McLenan and husband were here from California to attend the funeral of her sister, Mis. Warren Holly, last week. •Rev. Fr. Clarence Thennes o£ Stockton attended a get-together of the Thennes family at the home of his father, John Thennes, Thursday evening. Mrs. James Wagner and son, Charles, of Milton, Wis., spent a few days last week with her father, Herb Simon. jVlrs. Helen Heuser and sistpr, Mrs. Emily Broecker, are ndw making their home in the lower apartment of the John Blake house on Richmond Road. Miss Barbara Brugger of Kenosha, Wis., spent a few days last week in the Glen Dixon home. Mr. and Mrs. Alfons Adams accompanied by their daughter, Joan, of Chicago, vacationed at Minacqua, Wis., last weekend and also visited Mr. and Mrs. Emil Hinke and Henry Korzilons and sister at Three Lakes, Wis. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Morris and children and Ricky Jordan of Oak Lawn were Tuesday guests in the William Jordan home. Mrs. G. R. Spindler entertained her nephew, Merritt Kirkpatrick, his wife and daughter, Naomi, of Chicago, at her home on Center street Saturday evening. Miss Naomi remained for a week's visit. Mrs. Fred Bienapfl, Mrs. Phillip Ricker, son, Gary, Miss Dever Casey, Mrs. Glen Dixon, daughter, Loridale, attended a miscellaneous shower, honoring the latter, at the home of her aunt, Mrs. Richard Sedar, in Waukegan, Tuesday evening of last week, with another aunt. Mrs. Robert Brugger, of Kenosha, as assistant hostess. Other guests were from Kenosha, Silver Lake, Union Grove, Wis., and Waukegan. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Zoia and children of Minneapolis were Friday over night guests in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Phalin. They were enroute to visit his moth er, Mrs. Charles Zoia and sister, Mrs. Ted Wett, in Long. Island and also plan to visit many places of interest along the way. Mrs. Robert Rusboldt of Michigan City, Ind., visited relatives here a few days last week. She was accompanied here by her husband who remained for a short visit. The James Miller family have returned from a vacation at Spider Lake, Wis. Captain and Mrs. Carl S. Ames and sons of Concord, Calif,, are spending two weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Hartmann, at Pistakee Bay. Mrs. Robert Winkel and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Antonson are spending a few weeks with Richard's parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. Antonsen, in Martinsville, N. J. Mrs. Anton Williams and daughter, Betty Lou Weber, returned recently from a plane trip to Washington, D. C., where they visited in the home of their daughter and sister, Mrs. Varney Tanner, husband and daughter, Marcia Ann, and saw the latter graduate from kindergarten while there. They also visited y President Kennedy's grave and did other sight seeing. Still Hill Drive, McHenry Shores, died early Tuesday, June 29, in her home. She had been in poor health for several months. Mrs. Neuharth was born Dec. 6, 1898, in Menno, S. Dakota, but had resided in McHenry for the past eighteen years. For fifty-two years she was married to John J. Neuharth, retired president of the McHenry Savings and Loan Association, who survives. Other survivors- are two daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Irene) Hicks of Forest Park and Mrs. Arthur (Virginia) Bauer of Crystal Lake; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Annette Quast of Minno, Si Dakota; two brothers, Helmulh Klaudt of Fort Lauderdale. Fla., and William Klaudt of Rapid City,, S. Dakota. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two brothers'. Mrs. Neuharth was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, McHenry Chapter. No. 594. The body rests at Ihc Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home, where Rev. Ernest Carder of the Community Methodist church will officiate at last rites Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in Acacia Park. HILARY KELLEY Hilary Kellcy, 57, of Fox Lake, died Tuesday morning, June 29, in McHenry hospital, where he was admitted the previous evening following a fall. . Coroner Theron Ehorn swore in a jury at the Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home and the inquest was continued until July 9. The body was removed to the K. K. Hamsher funeral home in Fox Lake for funeral arrangements. JOSEPH W. NORTH Joseph W. North of Lincolnwood, a summer resident of the McHenry area and former city auditor here for many Chicago, Waukegan, Wauconda, Crystal Lake and McHenry surprised Mrs. A. P. Freund at her home Sunday evening, the occasion being her seventy- third birthday. A pot-luck supper was enjoyed and the evening spent in visiting. A huge birthday cake with "Happy Birthday, Mom" was also enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hettermanh of College Park, Ga., Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Hettermann of Rock Falls, III., were here to help Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hettermann celebrate their silver wedding Friday evening. He was a member of the Chanters and Medinah Temple. L17DWIO. WASCLEWSKI Ludwig Wasclewski, 73, of 510 W. Rand Drive, Pistakee Highlands, died Thursday evening, June 24. of a heart attack. He was fishing in the*5 Highlands channel when an unidentified witness saw him slump over in the boat: He quickly jumped i'nto .the water, brought him to shore and administered artificial respiration. The Johnsburg Rescue Squad was Called and brought the body to McHenry. Wasclewski is survived by his wife, Katherine. The body was taken to the Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home and then removed to the Ocwieja chapel at 4256 S. Mozart, Chicago, for funeral arrangements. Burial was in Resurrection cemetery, Justice. CARRIE B. RHODE Miss Carrie R. Rhode of 7501 Maple Drive, .Wonder Lake, died early Sunday, June 27, at Memorial hospital, Woodstock, where she had been confined for two days. She had been in poor health for about two years. Miss Rhode was born in Michigan City, Ind., May 22, 1883, and resided in the Wonder Lake area for twenty-five years after coming here from Chicago. The deceased was a seamstress for a dress manufacturing company in Chicago. Survivors are a sister, Augusta Gustafson, who resided with Miss Rhode, two nieces and one nephew. Services wre held at 2 o'clock Wednesday from the Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home. Burial was in McHenry County Memorial Park. WILLIAM J. DIFFY William J. Mr. Carr farmed for many years before becoming a stationary engineer for Morton Salt Co. He was retired. The deceased was a veteran of World War I. Survivors -ire his widow. Economic consultants and political economy professors from New York university, University of Detroit, University of Georgia and Wabash college were among the lecturers.
