John Hoffman of Indianapolis, Ind., was a recent over night guest in the home of his aunt, Mrs. F. J. Aicher. Clearbrook which they, have purchased. - Mrs. Kathryn Guzzardo spent a few days, the past week, as the guest of her friend, Mrs. Agnes Wieder, in Villa Park. William Althoff spent three days the past week in Chicago, where he attended the monthly meeting of the Catholic Order of Foresters. Thursday, July 29, 1965 Martin Schmitt of St. Louis has been visiting McHenry relatives. Mrs. Jean Raeside and son, Robert, of Keokuk, Iowa, were guests in the home of Mrs. Eleano? Nye a few days the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Stringer of Rockford were guests in the Robert Thompson home Wednesday of last week. Frank Martin of Belleview. Fla., spent a few days with his sons who are visiting their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Martin, for the summer. Mrs. Leonard Burge, Gary and Susan of Grayslake, visither mother, Mrs. David Powers, Wednesday of last week. Ray McGee and Arthur Martin were in Chicago Thursday, to pay their last respects to a cousin, Charles McBreen, who passed away very unexpectediy. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schoewer were in Waukegan Thursday, where she attended a luncheon and he visited a former McHnry resident, Edwin Denman, at Victory Memorial hospital where he is recovering from a heart attack suffered a few weeks ago. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Nye visited relatives in Ohio a few days last week. ! Miss Ann Frisby is spending several days with relatives in Itasca. Mrs. Albert Buch and daughter, Mary, of Elgin, visited Mrs. Mary Buch Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph J. Miller of Washington street have returned from a two weeks visit in the home of their son, Marine Sgt. and Mrs. Alfred Miller and sons in New Bern, N. C., where they made the acquaintance of their new grandson, Karl Joseph Miller, two months old. Sister Mary Henry (Anna Bolger) of Presentation Convent, Chicago, and a sister companion, Sister Reginalda, spent a few days last week in the home of her sister-in-law, Mrs. John Bolger, and also visited other relatives in this vicinity while here. Mrs. Bolger is entertaining her sister, Sister Mary Veronica, of Milwaukee, this week and another sister, Mrs, Howard Ashton, of Evanston, was her guest for a few days. The Dale Dixon family and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bienapfl were in Silver Lake, Wis., Sunday to attend open house at the William Richer home honoring their daughter, a nun, who is home on a visit_ from Redlands, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Weber and Mrs. Nettie Weber spent a few days last rweek in Wisconsin. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kempfer and family moved Wednesday to Genoa, 111., where they have purchased a bakery business. They also bought a new home at 783 Watson Drive, Ada-Lor Heights, Genoa. Mr. and Mrs. William Vales of Omaha, Nebr., spent the past week with his mother, Mrs. Albert Vales. Dick Carlton of Chicago was also a visitor in the Vales home. FILE COMPLAINT A complaint at law has been filed in Circuit court on behalf of Donna Martino against Judy Bennish and Susan P. Murray. Donna asks $50,000 from each defendant as the result of an auto accident on Elm Street, McHenry, last September. According to the complaint, the plaintiff was a passenger in a car driven by Susan Murray when the auto collided with another vehicle driven by Judy Bennish. Agricullural 4-H Enrollment At 417 McHenry County Agricultural 4-H club members enrolled for the 1965 club year total 447 at the present time. The Busy Beavers 4-H enrollment . tops all others at 45 members. In second place in enrollment is the Community Gophers club with 41 members. The 4-H club leaders are John Schlosser, Richmond; John Williams, Richmond; and Harold Jepson, Jr., Ringwood.
