Taylor, who had made her home with a daughter, Mrs. Dale "Thomas, at 3013 W. Rt. 120, McHenry, for the past six years died Friday evening, Aug. 20, in McHenry hospital, where she had been confined for nine days. Mrs. Taylor, 88, was born Jan. 23, 1877, in Iowa. Besides Mrs. Thomas, she leaves one son, Lloyd Davison, of Fort Dodge, Iowa; nine grandchildren; twenty - five g r e a t - g r a n d c h i l d r e n ; o n e great - great - grandchild; one sister and one brother. Rev. Ernest Carder officiated at last rites conducted in the George R. Justen & Son funeral home Saturday. The body was later transferred to Corydon, Iowa, where last rites were conducted Monday. -- Personals -- Mrs. Charles Dowe and sisters, Sister Edulfa and Rosina Young visited in Glenview one day last week. On Friday Mrs. Dowe and Sister Edulfa drove to Lake Koshkonony and spent the day at the former's cottage on the lake. Howlett, state Auditor of Public Accounts, will be a featured speaker of Democratic Women's Day Saturday, Sept. 11, at the Wagon Wheel Lodge in Rockton. Brothers Drown On Return From Tourney Funeral services were held this past week for Timothy, 21, and Michael Sheehan, 18, of Chicago, nephews of Mr. and Mrs. John Lavin of 1606 N. Pleasant, Lakeland Park. The two young men, members of the Chicago Junior Davis cup tennis team, drowned when a rowboat overturned in a lake near Three Rivers, Mich. Happy over an outstanding victory ina Detroit tournament. the Chicago men were en route home and stopped to visit friends of one of the team.
