Many questions were raised and those which could be answered were and the rest will be looked into and answered at the next general meeting which will be held in about 6 weeks. Watch the paper for the date. Brownies The Brownies will hold their first meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 2 from 3:15 to 4:30 at their regular meeting place, 1500 N. Ramble road, Lakeland Shore. Mrs. Quast is being assisted by Mrs. Schaedel this year. Lakeland Park Couples Bowling League Started Last Saturday, the Lakeland Park couples bowling league had their first bowling night of the season. A lot of new faces, were seen as the league has expanded to 12 teams this year, and it looks like the competition will be tough. Smarting off the season with Hi-scratch for the men was Lee Mai with a 542, and for the women; I bowled a 500 series scratch. Hi-series with handicap for the men was taken by Bill Bockman with a 585 and his wife. Betty took the Hi-series with handicap for the Women with a 607. In a three way tie for fjrst place. the "Sissies". "Bad Guys", and "Arrow B's" each won 4 points. In 2nd place "Sea Biscuit", "Lucky Strike", and "Alley Cats" each took 3 points, in 3rd place, the "Misfits". "Bad News" and the Forfeits" each took 1 point, and the "Odd Balls", "Spooks" and Bloopers" didn't take any. Our next bowling will be on Saturday, Oct. 9th. Sde you there. tumes. The boys should be busy working on their costumes now so there isn't that last minute rush. Birthday Wishes Starting off the 1st of Octo- )er with their birthdays, are Ken Piazak who will be 17 and Roger Kmery who will be 4. The 2nd of October Frank Vanek will be 15 and Randy Koczor will he 10. The 3rd of the month has Rosemary Tiffany adding another year. On the 5th, Joseph Gagnon will be 14. Our very' best wishes to all of these people and to those whose names we don't have. <iirl Scouts The Girl Scout troop in Lakeland Park is ^till accepting registration so if any girls would like to join, come to the community house on Mon- "lavs from 3:30 to 5:30. Cub Scouts There will be a Cub committee meeting on Oct. 6 at the community house at 8 p.m. All Den mothers and committee men are requested to attend. The Cub Pack meeting which was held last week Monday had a large group of boys attending but very few parents out. This is supposed to be family night with the whole family invited to attend. Let's try and have a bigger adult turnout next month. H.H.P.O.A, Meeting The property owner's association met at the Ranch House on Monday, Sept. 20. Reports on various activities were given by the committee chairman. It's getting to that time of year when snow plowing contracts must be aken care of. It will be tough shoveling out of the subdivision if the association can't afford the snow plowing.
