The calls have been missing from this column for several weeks now and I have been questioned as to when they will appear again. Many people are away from home during the day and do not know when the squad answers calls. As they read this column they catch up with what our own Johnsburg Rescue Squad does during the night hours, as well as the daytime. Since the 11th of last month the squad members have been called upon 12 times. On the 11th of August they were summoned to Neisen's subdivision where a resident suffered a heart attack. He was taken to the McHenry hospial in the squad ambulance. A respiratory attack by a victim in Oeffling's subdivision was a call answered by the" squad members on the 26th. This patient also needed hospitalization. On the 28th, the members of our squad loaned their assistance at the accident scene near the Bay area where a young woman lost her life. Two calls from the area near Pistakee Bay, one on the 29th and the other on the 31st of last month prov- Association News The Lilymoor association will hold their regular meeting Tuesday, Oct. 12, in the dining room of Club Lilymoor at 8 p.m. At this meeting election of board of directors will take place. On the 1st of September the squad was called to a factory in Ringwood where a worker suffered injuries to his leg. Chapel Hill subdivision was another of their calls on the 5th of this month. The patient was taken by ambulance to the Woodstock hospital. Later a call took them to Bayview Court, where a victim suffered a fatal attack. The Johnsburg Public school called upon the squad members for assistance on the 8th. A young school child suffered a possible broken arm and was taken in the squad ambulance to the McHenry hospital for further treatment. A seventeen year old had possible respiratory troubles on the 19th and was taken into the McHenry hospital by the squad. The squad members assisted a local resident on the 26th, when he suffered an attack. He was taken to the hospital in McHenry by their ambulance. Now that these calls are right up to the minute the runnning count has really been given a shove upward. The count up to date is 2,508. Let us all hope and pray it does not rise too much more. SUNNYSIDE ESTATES FRAN OLSEN PHONE S85-&740 RAINS FORCE RE-SCHEDULE OF TEEN COOK-OUT So it is farewell for now. See you all right here again next week. "Just Great" was the universal summation of the teen's cookout, after a threatened washout. With all in readiness, the combo just began to warm up Saturday night when the rushing wind gave warning of the down pour that followed on its heels. All was whisked away just as the rain rushed in to soak the Saturday night session. Squelched? Not entirely. The event was re-scheduled for the following evening and providentially it ran its course before tfie elements eliminated that possibility. The teens (who screamed they had the "best time they ever had") are eager for more of the same. The combo was the liveliest, the dancing, the jiveiest, and the group the goin'-est that residents can recall seeing. Noise anonymous. Spirits Synonymous. But sure enough, real they were, and on Sept. 21 Fran Fuqua and her flock were guests on the daily noontime TV circus. Tha's what this reporter did on the evening of Sept. 17 - because there are no words to express one's joy at the thoughtfulness of such a gesture - no words to express one's sheer amazement at how this was all brought about with perfect secrecy - nor equilibrium left to try to act like an efficient hostess - just floods of gratitude to Favorite Husband and all the guests who made this birthday a record-breaker as well as an ear-splitter - just ask the neighbors - if they haven't already "mentioned" the event.
