Douglas Wozniak from McHenry, Robert Browne and Donald Cochran from Harvard, Wayne Hanson, Robert Behling, Richard Hague, Wm. E. Turner, Thomas Carroll and Eugene Baseggio, all from Crystal Lake, Patrick Bridwell from Wonder Lake and Martin Steinbrecher from Marengo. Recruit Depot at San Diego. During his eight weeks of intensified recruit training under veteran noncommissioned officer drill instructors, he learned small arms marksmanship, bayonet fighting, and methods of self-protection, as well as receiving instruction in military drill, history and traditions of the Marine Corps, and other academic subjects. He has been assigned to Camp Pendleton, Calif., for at least four weeks of advanced infantry combat training before being assigned to a school or to a Marine combat or support unit. MICHAEL G.
