PIAtyDEALER Section One -- Page Fivi 3)augM erb Chewb Job's Daughters recently enjoyed Past Honored Queens' Night and Grand Representatives' Night. Once again Libby Stinespring was honored queen. As she always has been, she was a beautiful and gracious queen in the East. Libby is also the grand representative to the State of Wisconsin. She invited grand representatives of other Bethels to hold the officers' stations. _/ Afterwards, refreshments were served and everyone had an enjoyable evening. Libby gave each guest a gift in appreciation for filling the officers' stations. It was indeed a beautiful and wonderful night to remember. Another recent event was the Job's Daughters' spaghetti dinner. We had a good turn-out and are grateful to everyone who helped to make the evening a success. Peggy Peterson, Reporter Thursday, Oct. 28, was the regular meeting night for the Jooies ot McHenry. Following the meeting we had our "Spook Night" with the room being decorated with Halloween decorations. The refreshments consisted of Halloween doughnuts and apple cider, which was enjoyed by all. To add to the enjoyment of the evening was the fact that our Uncle Tom Russell came to our meeting. He has been recuperating from a heart attack and it was so good to have him back with us again. Keep up the good work Uncie Tom. Don't forget about our rummage sale on Friday and Satuday, Nov. 12 and 13. Please dig in aound your honitrs and bring any rummage you might find. ASK RATE ADJUSTMENTS Illinois Bell Telephone Nov. 1 proposed rate adjustments and simplified pricing for about 100,000 customers in the state. One proposal, filed with the Illinois Commerce commission, applies to customers having two or more telephone lines and using telephones with associated button or keys. .Separate monthly charges ate now made for each of the service features of these button- telephone systems, which permit the holding of one line and the picking up of another, Illinois Bell manager S. F. Jozwiak said. Under the proposal, these features would be combined in three basic "Com- Pak" packages. The packages would effect savings for more than half of the 100,000 Bell customers in the state. For another 40,000 customers there would be no change in price. Minor price increase would apply to the remaining 2,000 customers. Monday's filing also proposes one - party service in rural areas for a flat monthly change, eliminating present additional mileage charges, Jozwiak said this proposal will not affect any Crystal Lake or McHenry customers. "For some time now, we have been providing urban type service to all customers in the Crystal Lake and McHenry areas, including those in rural areas" he said.
