Nov. 30, according to Illinois Bell manager S. F. Jozwiak. The new sound will be a lower-pitched dial tone. "The new dial tone will begin during the early morning hours on Tuesday," Jozwiak said. "It will have no effect on the operation of McHenry telephones. People should continue placing calls just as they normally do." The familiar dial tone is being changed in preparation for the introduction of TOUCHTONE telephone service in McHenry. TOUCH-TONE service will be available for, McHenry customers on Dec. 20. "The new dial tone is necessary because McHenry's present dial tone would interfere with the TOUCH-TONE equipment," wire chief T. P. Konen said. "The change in dial tone will permit the operation of both dial and TOUCH-TONE phones on the same telephone lines." Advertise - It Pa>. For? DRAPERIES SLIPCOVE] SHADE!
