Farewell Party «The Holiday Hills Woman's club combined its annual Christmas party ;with a farewell party for past president Chadie Ary. Blindfolded on the pretense of playing a game, the women presented her with a lovely gift and a giant size card signed by all present. The Arys will be sorely missed in Holiday Hills for they were truly interested in community affairs and were active in all of our activities. Their help, plus their ever present smiles and cooperative spirit will not be possible to replace. Our very best to you, Chadie and Mac, and to your two'boys, Ricky and Tom. We will miss you!! Cookie Party Friday, Dec. 3, a large group of women gathered at the Mahon home and exchanged cookies. Almost all of our s u b d i v i s i o n y o u n g s t e r s w e r e present and in the Christmas spirit. There was carolling to the accompaniment of Irene ]\fay at the piano, a double' feature movie of "The Night Before Christmas" and "The Greatest Story Ever Told". Ice cream, cookies, candy and milk dtfnated by one of our local dairies were served. The largest treat of all was the wonderful man in red, Santa, to hand out all the gifts to the children personally. A thunderous round of applause to the women of the Lycky Ladies Club who worked so hard to make the Christmas pffrty the huge success it was. Tfie L.L.C. is hoping to increase their membership so th&t this party and other children's activities can continue in the future. On the nineteenth Herb and Mary Rose celebrate their twenty- second and Emil ^and Mary Lennon celebrate their fifty-second anniversary. Recuperating Millie Kropf is home and recuperating after recent surgery. Wishes for a speedy recovery are extended to her. Shocking Surprise It will take quite a while for Steve and Lorraine Major to recover from the surprise silver anniversary party given in their honor at their home on Saturday, Dec. 4. The party was planned by sons, Steve and Mike and close f r i e n d s o f t h e M a j o r s . T h e secret was well kept and party planned so well the Majors didn't know what hit them until it did. There were fifteen couples in attendance complete with all the party fixen's. They all had a wonderful time. Sympathy Heartfelt sympathy is extended to Jim and Marie Leahy at the loss of Jim's brother, Kenneth, 37, who succumbed to injuries sustained in a head-on auto accident on Oct. 5, I£en never regained consciousness and passed away on Nov. 30, in California.
