R. Spindler. Other dinner guests were the Rev. John Mclntyre family. and Mrs. Harry Lawrence of Chicago were weekend visitors in McHenry. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wissell and daughters, Melissa and Anne, of Kenosha, Wis., accompanied his mother, Mrs. William Wissell, to Loyal, Wis., for a weekend visit in the home of their brother and son, Charles Wissell. Mr. and Mrs. William Jordan and son, Gary, of Downers Grove, were Sunday visitors in the home of his parents, the Williarn Jordans, and guests there on Monday were their granddaughter, Mrs. Thomas Morris, husband and children of Oak Lawn. The occasion was the observance of Mother's Day and also Mrs. Jordan's birthday which fell on last Saturday. Mrs. Mac Booth returned to her home in Valeville, Ala., Saturday after a visit in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Guffey, in Richmond, and her grandmother, Mrs. Irene Guffey, here. Mr. and Mrs. George Scherzer were Milwaukee visitors over the weekend. Mrs. Ellen Wende returned Monday from a few days visit with relatives in Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Bergen er have returned from a trip to the Ozarks. Miss Susan Stenger, daughtter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Stenger of Bristol, England, spent a few days last week witrt her grandmother, Mrs. William Spence.r, and other relatives here on her way from Bristol to her old home in San Carlos, Calif., where she plans to attend college. Enroute here she visited her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Steriger, in Florida, other members of the Stenger family in Connecticut and Massachusetts and Mr. and Mrs. George Stenger of Waukegan who accompanied her to McHenry. Mr. and Mrs. George E. Johnson, Stephen and Susah and Mrs. Johnson's mother, Mrs. O. G. Eder, of Arlington Heights, Mrs. Erie * Geer •' of Crystal Lake and Mr. and Mrs. George H. Johnson were entertained in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Johnson on Mother's Day. Mrs. Elvera Durland, who spent the winter in Seal Beach, Calif., has returned to this vicinity for the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Lock- \v09d accompanied by her sisters, Miss Lillian Behrens • of LaGrange and Miss Amanda Behrens pf Woodstock spent the weekend with Gary Lockwood at Mount Pleasant, Iowa. Sunday guests in the Robert Low home were Mr. and Mrs. James Kline, Woodstock, and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Olsen. Guests in the Fred Bienapfl home Sunday to observe Mother's Day and also Dale Dixon's birthday were Mrs. Richard Sedar and children of Waukegan, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Ricker of Richmond and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Dixon and sons. Atty. and Mrs. Joseph L. Bauer and daughter, Cathy, of Oshkosh, Wis., were weekend visitors in the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Bauer. Mrs. John J. Scheid of Woodstock was a weekend guest of Miss Rena Scheid and other dinner guests on Sunday were Julia, Rose and Margaret Stilling. In the afternoon . the group visited the former's husband at" Veterans hospital, Downey. 1 Mr. and Mrs. Winfield Hagberg have returned from a vacation spent in Florida. Rby Biggs at North Miami, Mr. and Mrs. Barney Graff at St.' Petersburg and Harold Vance at Clearwater. Mrs. Harvey Frank, Mrs. Donald Diericks, Mrs. Gary Baker, Miss Mary Sullivan and Joe Yegge of DeWitt, Iowa, spent the weekend with the Norbert Yegge family. On Saturday they accompanied the Yegges to Woodstock where they attended a Mass in the morning in honor of the twentyfifth wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Yegge. In the evening a reception and dance concluded the day's festivities at the Knights of Columbus hall.
