Over a cup of coffee, members of the Kishwaukee Valley Garden club and the Woodstock Garden club discussed plans for their coming show which will be presented at the Northwood School in Woodstock on June 24 and 25. Mrs. Petersen announced that the programs are printed, invitations to other garden clubs to participate have been sent out and the posters are about ready for distribution. Memorial Hpsltal Woodstock During' the past week patients admitted to Memorial hospital, Woodstock, included Monica Redetzky, Kathleen Diedrich, Kenneth Merley, Helen Wegener and Debra Kutson, McHenry; Raymond Mischke, Master Martin Victory, John Prushinski, and Emma Reymann, Wonder Lake; and Joseph Segarski, Ringwood. Harvard Hospital Allan Olcott, Adolph Dolenski, Mrs. Edward- Urbanek, Mrs. Antonio Garcia and John Vacula of McHenry and Mrs. Ben Slove of Wonder Lake were patients during the past week in the Harvard hospital. AT DELTA ZETA MEET Kathy Palmer, a freshman at St. Norbert college, West De Pere, Wis., attended the Delta Zeta State Day recently at Eau Claire. The featured speaker was Mrs. Gary Schlosstein, Delta Zeta national treasurer of Cochrane, Wis. One hundred seventy-five collegiate and alumni members spent the day in general session and workshops. Miss Palmer is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Palmer of McHenry. ObiluarieA BRADFORD CHEATHAM A. Bradford Cheatham, 55, of Roberts road, McHenry, was pronounced dead on arrival at McHenry hospital Sunday, May 8. The Island Lake man had been in poor health for some time. He was born in 1911 in Tennessee and had resided in this area for fourteen years. Mr. Cheatham was a machinist for the T & H (Harnischfeger) plant in Crystal Lake. Besides his widow, Elsie, he leaves two sons, Thomas and James; three grandchildren; three sisters, Stella Domke, Ethel Stadtlander and Dolly Foster. Last rites were conducted Wednesday, with burial in St. Lucas cemetery, Chicago. FRED C. LEUTH Services were conducted Saturday afternoon in the K.K. Hamsher funeral home, Fox Lake, for Fred C. Leuth, 59, of Mylith Park subdivision, Rev. John Atherton of Mount Hope Methodist church, Pistakee Highlands, officiated, with interment in Fox' Lake cemetery. Mr. Leuth, dismissed from the hospitals the morning of May 4, was declared dead on arrival at the hospital later in the day, apparently of a heart attack. The deceased was a native of North brook, where he was born in 1906. He lived in the Fox Lake-Spring Grove area before moving to Island Lake two years ago. He was former owner of Freddie's Lounge, Spring Grove. Survivors are a daughter. Doris Foy, of Fox Lake; three sons, Robert with the Navy in California, Willard of McHenry and John of Florida. Panel To Discuss Newman Foundation The Christian Mothers sodality of St. Mary's church will meet Friday, May 13, at 7:45 p.m. in the school gym. Guest speaker will be Fr. Hugh McGinn, chaplain of the Newman club at Northern Illinois university, DeKalb. Fr. McGinn will bring a panel of university students for a discussion on "The Newman Foundation".
