The young couple was married May 21 in St. Mary's church in Lakewood by Father Eugene Jung of Shelby, Ohio. Dave's parents, Joe and Alvina, along with Marie and A1 Oeffling, Jim, Bob and Carol Miller made the trip to New Jersey by car, stopping to pick up Father Jung on the way. Bill Oeffling and Larry Deidrich made the trip by plane to participate as bridal party members. Gary Freund, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Freund, who is stationed in Utica, New York, was able to be present for the festivities also. While in the east, the Millers and the Oefflings visited with the Girard Brennan family, former residents from our town. They are all fine and hoping to make a return visit here in the future. Dave and Elaine will be coming here by the first of June when they wiH be feted with another reception. Over Memorial Day, Mrs. Smith plans to be in Rockford with her family for some good old visiting. Receives Honor Sandy Hettermann, a student at St. Therese School of Nursing, was honored last week when she was chosen to serve as president of the student of the student council. Brother Pameg On The Debrecht family was saddened by the recent death of their brother, Edwin, of O'- Fallon, Wis. Mr. and Mrs. Emil Debrecht, Stella Debrecht. Stella Debrecht and Alfred Debrecht, as well as a brother from Tinley Park and one from California were in O'Fallon for the funeral Mass on May 18. Alfred had spent quite a bit . of time there since his brother's illness.
