(Catholic Youth of Johnsburg) will be in the school hall to sell many 'of their homebaked goodies. All kinds of good things to eat will be available for the purchase. Cakes, pies, cookies; bread, etc., as well as baked beans and potato salad will be among the popular items in demand. Of course this project is going to need the assistance of all the members. Workers for the various shifts will be needed and naturally there will have to be a lot of home baked articles for the sale. So an urgent message is being sent out to all our young people to get behind this endeavor and make it a huge success. Pleiase offer your services to help and bake an extra large batch of goodies so there is enough ,to offer lor sale after all the Mosses. ' It's a Boy for Adams Family The family Of Dorothy and Albie Adams was increased by one recently when they . welcomed their sixth- child and fourth son. The young fellow saw his first glimpse of this big world in the nursery of St. Therese hospital in Waukegan. Sincere congratulations to the entire Adams family. Graduation Goings On The LaFontaine home on Johnsburg Road was "Jumping" last Sunday afternoon and evening when about eighty family members and friends were in attendance for a dual g r a d u a t i o n c e l e b r a t i o n . T h e large gathering honored Jim LaFontaine, who graduated from the McHenry high school and his cousin ,Linda DiBona, who completed_her high school educationv in-"'Marengo. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ange DiBona Jim's parents are Cleatus and Evie LaFontaine. Dorothy had. a -party -for Barbara, recent graduate from St. John's and Dave, who completed four years at the Josephium seminary in Ohio. Relatives galore were in attendance to help both these young people celebrate. They also had an opportunity to say farewell for awhile to Dick Himplemann, who leaves for Uncie Sam's armed forces on June 21. JoAnn Deidrich really had a "swinging party" at her home last Thursday evening. She invited the entire fifty students of her graduating class from St. John's for a "real Gone time". And those youngsters really had themselves a time. Janice Schaefer .daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Schaefer, of Fairview avenue was guest of honor last Sunday at a graduation celebration in her home. She was one of the many who received their diplomas at the McHenry high school on Friday evening. Tuesday evening our home was alive with party-goers who gathered here after the Mass in St. John's church. Our Karen was one of the graduates. About thirty family members came to help in "her celebration. Lots of activity went on in the Dehn home also last Tuesday evening. John was the center of attraction of the doings in honor of his eighth grade graduation. John and Karen will join forces next Sunday when they have a dual celebration with the Dehn side of the family. Some twenty family members will be in attendance here to honor these two youngsters, After graduation Tuesday evening, in Loren Pitzen's honor, Mrs. Martha Freund, Nick Pitzen, and the Ted Pitzen family \vere prsent in his home for a real nice party. The Bill Barth family were in Buffalo Grove on Sunday to help in the celebration of the graduation of their nephew, Joseph Grens, from St. Mary's school. Immediately following the graduation they were all in attendance at the baptismal ceremony of the newest member of the Grens family, Sarah Ann. The baby was garbed in the baptismal dress made by Marge for a godchild of hers Bill and Irene Tamasy, and eight months ago Visiting Kin son, Billy, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., are spending several weeks vacation here. Although they have their trailer parked at Fish Lake,they will. spend much of their time visiting her father and wife, Mr.. and'Mts. Jpe Smith. Tom and Joan Keenan* and son, Jeff, will be familiar sights in this vicinity for the next two weeks. They .arrived in McHenry on Saturday from their home in Decatur, Georgia. They will base at her parents home, the Ben Blakes, of Richmond Road, but will visit many of their kin here in Johnsburg. Tom's sister and family, the Don Dowes of Lincoln were also visitors in and around McHenry over last Weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Freund and Mrs. Martha H.
