With Lippy Leo up north and Eddie "The Brat" Stanky down south, fireworks were in the making. Stanky doesn't rate in the re league with Durocher in oratory department, but more ink for his banter members of the critical press gfoup. - We heard Stanky tell a group of writers he wouldn't mind tfoeijf criticism of him, but to layoff his players. We dunno. The sports writers seem to get under his skin whenever they fleed a story. Our dream of the Cubs and gox playing 'each other in a World Series seems to have hit a snag. One of these days!
