He will be in Europe from June. 23 until August 18. and will receive nine hours of credit after completing the study tour. * Jim will study and travel in Portugal, Spain, Andorra, France, Italy, Greece, Sicily, ?u goslavia, Austria, Germany a*id England. The group" will fjy to Europe and^back. - While in the European countries, they will take two ' bruises. One from Naples to Sicily and another from Athens to Venice, stopping at places of interest along the way. This will be Jim's second 4iifinier in Europe. Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Hawley entertained the family on Father's Day with the arrival of Mr. and Mrs. John Woodward and son, Timmy, of Lar gp, Fla., who will spend some time with her folks. They to leave the McHenry Methodist church at noon and be back around 6 p.m. The Jr. High M.Y.F. will meet at the church at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, for a swimming party. Anyone interested in driving some of the youngsters are asked to contact Rev. Anderson. There will be a church school board meeting on Tuesday, June 28, at 7:30 p.m. Sharp ! The Junior choir will meet for practice on Fridays at 1 p.m. from now on, now that school is out for suhimer vacation. This is subject to be changed at times so watch for notices. Former Resident Passes Away Mrs. Pearl Berg, a former Ringwod resident, passed away on Wednesday in the home of her1 son and his family, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Berg of 3137 Concord Avenue* Alhambra, Calif. She is also survived by another son, Gordon, of Phoenix, Aria. Graveside sertrtcte were held by Rev. Anderson on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. at the Ringwood cemetary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar. Mrs. Dave Walkington Dies Mrs. Dave Walkington, tl!e former Helen Rice of Richmond, passed away in Phoenix, Ariz., on Saturday, June 18. She was the sister-in-law of the Paul Walkingtons. Services were held in Phoenix on Tuesday. Sincere sympathy is extended to the Walkington family. Around Town Mrs. Marion Lay, son, Bob Greb and Susie from Downey, Calif., visited her mother, Mrs. Nellie Hepburn, and her sister and family, the Charles Brennans. On Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Brennan and son, Wayne, of Twin Lakes and Webster and Leo Blackman of Richmond called on them. On Sunday, Bob and Susie called on the Milton Grebes in Kenosha. They returned to California by jet on Monday morning. On Monday, Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Hawley and Mr, and Mrs. John Woodward called on friends at the Alpine Lutheran Camp near Spring Grove. HONOR PAST PRESIDENTS OF MOTHERS GROUP last meeting of the fiscal year. The next meeting will be held in September. Fifty-two members afid guests attended the Christian Mothers meeting in St. Peter's hall on Thursday night. Following a pot-luck dinner, meeting was called to order by President Eva Freund. New officers taking over the duties of vice president and treasurer were Mrs. Conrad Miller and Mrs. George Reynolds. They will serve two years replacing Mrs .Fred May, as vice president and Mrs. Joseph Brown as treasurer. Both these ladies were commended for their excellent work and cooperation during their term. Coming events announced were a summer social on August -28 and a rtntirnage sale the lattef part of September. Plahs were fftade for a trip to see the Passion Play at Waukegan on June 26. The DCCW Conference will be on Sept. 25 in Sterling; Transportation will be provided by bus. Anyone wishing to go, please register with Mrs. Eva Freund or call 675-2135. A gathering relatives and friends was helci in the Walter Brown home on Sunday to honor the graduation of their son, Charles, (Chuck). Both are graduates of Marian Central high school. Relatives in the Brown home were her mother, Mrs. Perry Elliot, and sister, Pauline, and husband of Iowa and the Bob Wageman family of Milwaukee.
