Well, to illustrate the complaint, some little gremlin changed the heading on our column and inserted the heading for Lakemoor-Lilymoor instead. So in case you thought we flubbed up last week, just look again and you'll find us on page five under Lakemoor! Made it interesting anyway! Little League Meeting Cancelled The Little League meeting for December will not be held this week because of the holidays. The next meeting will bo on Jan. 25. Coming up in February is the annual Roller Skating party which the Little League sponsors each year. Tickets will be available after the first of the year from the Chairman Bill Jaenicke, or the managers and coaches. Mark your calendar for this date as this is a fun night for the whole family. Birthday Wishes Happy birthday wishes go to Edward Peters on Dec. :'. () for his tenth birthday and to Matthew Rogers on Dec. ::i for his fourth birthday. Couples Bowline League Results The first half of the bowling season is over with now with the following teams and their ratings; The Dreps came in first with 24 wins and 4 losses. Second place team were the Famous 4 with 21 and 7, third place were Warriors with 20'^ and 7 Fourth place were tin- Jaw Breakers with 1H and 10 The Sinners had 14 and 17, Wino's had 10'i> and 171-, Ramskells had 10 and 18j the Short Circuits had 9 and 19 and the Jammers came in last place with 5 and 2.<_. The second half of the season will start with bowling on Jan. 7. We will then have a rest until Feb. 4 because of a tournament which has lx?en scheduled on our regular night in January. Wo will lx)wl on three consecutive nights in February. Our hi-series scratch is still being held by T^d Knminski with his 610 series and Pat Butler with her 501 series. Hi series with handicap is held by Jim Daurio with a 671 and Maureen Johnson with a 628. Strolling Through the Park A belated anniversary wish noes to Bill and Bunny Jaenicke who celebrated their sixteenth ' year of togetherness on Dec. 2:5. They really have a very busy week with an anniversary on the twentythird, their daughter Cristy's birthday on the twenlylourth and ChrisUnas on the twenty-fifth. s Celebrating his 10th birth- v. day on Dec. (.) was Kurt Laucv who had eight of his l)oy friends in 1o help with t h e c e l e b r a t i o n . T h e b o y s were Brian Nuss, Mark Hendricks, Mark Webber, John ny Hendlo, Mitchell Przctac- /nik. Kenny Quast and Joey and Larry Koerper. Another birthday celebrant this month was my son John who celebrated his eighth birthday last -Tuesday. Dec. 20. Attending his party were Mark and Chris Rogers, Michael Krasuekf, and Johnny Bierman. In the evening his Grand m a and Grand p a Meurer came out for more cake and celebration. Looks like there might be a family reunion for the Bockman family with Alan and Jan Bockman and their 1hroe boys, Marc, Craig, and Stuart, arriving from Los Angeles. Calif., for the holidays. They will bo staying in the senior William Bock man home until Doc. 26 when they will go into" Northbrook where they will visit his other lister, Mrs. Norman Geis and family. I'm sure there will be a lot of traveling between the Wohnrades and the Bockmans' home with all of the news to catch up on and what not. We hope they enjoy their visit while they are here. Mrs. Barle spent t h e Christmas holidays out hero with her son, Ray, and wife, Mary, and family. Christmas day was celebrated with dinner at the home of thendaughter Marion, and husband. Ray Winkowski. Eddie Miskovie spent a week in St. Louis .Mo., with one of his college friends before coming home to join his family for Christmas. Christmas day was to be spent in Chicago with the Miskovies' son. Joh\ and wife, Diane, and new son, John. This will bo only the second time they have been able to get in to see their new grandson and they are really looking forward to it. The Meurer house was really hopping on Chrislmas with my family of three sisters, and their husbands, plus a total of thirteen children besides my own four plus one brother, my folks and Ron's folks for a total of thirty people. I'm sure glad that it is my turn only once every 4 years. At least I don't have to cook on the day after Christmas when we go into Maywood to the Meurer house for Grandpa's birthday. 3 Jo Rizzo had a very exciting birthday beginning quite early in the morning while she was still in her p.j.'s. Petey and Meg Oakford dropped into wish her many happy returns of the day and caught her at her usual early morning routine on the phone. Not long afterwards the phone rang again and that was the cue for the whole entertainment commitloe to knock on the door. Bearing sweet rolls and lots ol laughs were Bartos. liottari. Belohlavy. Glorch. Ma Ma//oni. Radisch". Roach. Rogers and Schaodol. Takes a lol to surprise that gal but this gang sure did it ! Monday afternoon last week found Ixsih Glorch entertaining seven ladies for lunch Alma Brushabor, Millie Pintoz/.i, Elaine Jett. Eleanor Schwetz, Flor e n c e Sehull/ and her mother'. Pearl, made the scene and finished up the wedding goodies. Boy, Mondays sure . i r o n ' t what they used to lie! The Dowell family has been pretty busy lately with both of their sons homo at various times on furlough. Wade was home last month and lias since gone to bis new post, at Travis A.F.B. near San Francisco. Calif, He will be taking further 1 raining in electronics. Earl and Dorothy Dowell wedding anniversary on Dec. 20 with the help of Butch who is on leave from Fort Hood, Texas. lie will be home until Dec. 110 when he returns. Mojo cause l/>r celebration are Ihe new stripes he received making him a Specialist 4 which in the new system of ratings is equal to corporal. It gets easier to tell holiday times these days with all the college kids back on the scope. Linda Crane is home from Bradley and Pauletto Rizzo is home from St. Xavier for the holiday season. We know there are more around here someplace but like everyone else right now they're busy, busy, busy. Seems like the samo old tale, but we do have another early deadline this week and with all the celebrations taking place on the last weekend there should be some news floating about. So please be good' new year resolution makers and try to call one of us at least once ibis year with exciting copy for YOUR column. See you next year. • NEW SMALLPOX CERTIFICATE Smallpox vaccinations after Jan. 1 must be recorded on new certificates to be valid for international travel, according to Dr. Franklin D. Yoder, director of the Illinois Department of Public Health. All physicians have been notified. Certificates are available from the Division of Foreign Quarantine, U. S. Public Health Service, Silver Spring, Maryland 20910. The prospective traveler should also check a smallpox certificate received after January 1 to make sure he has been issued one revised September 1966. The new amended certificate is the result of the World Health Organization's policy-setting standards. . Shop In McHenry Personals Mr. and Mrs. Mac Booth of Daleville, Ala., have been spending several days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs/ William Guffey, in Richmond and her grandmother, Mrs. Irene Guffey, here. Fred^ Bienapfl was in Burrington Saturday to attend the funeral of Frank Krause. Mr Krause, an old friend and frequent visitor in the Bienapfl.. home, was found dead in bed by his wife, Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Klinkor, daughters, Georgia Rao, Karen and Mrs. Richard Stephans, and husband of Morris were weekend guests in the John Wirfs home where a family get-together was held on Christmas. Missj Rita Martin went to Waukegan Saturday to spend the holidays in the home of her niece, Mrs. Dick Smith, and family where she will be joined by the other members of her family on Christmas Day. Mr.. and Mrs. Merle Davis of Fayetteville, Ark., and their daughter, Sheryl, of Hawaii, spent a few days last week in the Rita Ulrich homo enroute to spend Christmas with their other daughter, Mrs. Joseph! Eisele; and family in Saline, Mich. ^ Mrs. William Wissell entertained her son, Robert Wissell, and family of Watertown, Wis., and her daughter, Mrs. James Cornue, and daughter, Pam, of Hebron, Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Yegge entertained at a family gathering Frfday evening in honor of their nephew and bride, Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Yegge of Albuquerque, N.M.. who spent the Christmas holiday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Yegge, in Woodstock. Other guests included Mrs. Lena Riley and Judy Yegge of Woodstock and the Jack Yegge family of McHenry.
