JURACK Mr. Roger Allen Jurack claimed as his bride Miss Carolyn Jean Etter in a ceremony performed in the First Parish Congregational church of Yarmouth, Me., Nov. 25. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick A. Etter, Jr.. of Yarmouth and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Jurack of McHenry. The new Mrs. Jurack graduated from Yarmouth high school and has been employed at Owen Moor^^f' Co.. in Portland. Her husband graduated from McHenry high school. Now serving in the U.S. Navy, he was stationed until recently at the Brunswick Naval Air station and is currently attending the U.S. Navy electronics school in Memphis, Tenn., in which city the.v arc making their home. Miss Liptrot Becomes Bride St. Mary's Catholic church in McHenry was the setting for a lovely holiday week wedding on Thursday evening, Dec. 29, when Miss Christine Liptrot became the bride of Mr. John James Masterson. The nuptial rite was solemnized by the pastor. Rev. Ft. Eugene Baumbofer. Miss Liptrot Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Liptrot'of 3705 W. Maple, McHenry. and Mr. Masterson is the son of Mr. and Mrs, Philip, Masterson of Island'Lake. The pretty, dark-haired bride selected an off-white, crepe street length sheath dress worn with full length lace coat. She wore matching accessories, including a floral headpiece with veil, and carried a giant orchid surrounded by stephanotis. Miss Jeanne liptrot acted as maid of honor for her sister, wearing a moss green velvet ensemble and matching velvet circlet with veiling on her head , Her corsage was of winter daisies. Philip Masterson of Lakein- tfie-Hills served his brother as best man. Following the ceremony, a reception for twenty " guests was held at the Alpine House, Lake Zurich, after which the newlyweds left on a short honeymoon trip. Upon their return, they will reside in Oak Knoll apartments, Cary. The bride is a 1965 graduate of McHenry high school and has been employed as a secretary for the North Western- Railroad in Chicago. Her husband graduated in 1864 from Wauconda high school and is an employee of Westmont Engineers, Chicago. FORMER LAKE RESIDENT TAKES BRIDE IN SOUTH With her uncle officiating, as a minister of the Baptist faith, Miss Donna Estes of Wauconda became the bride of Mr. -Glcnford Branham, formerly -of McCullom Lake and now -of Crystal Lake, on New Year's Eve in Kentucky. Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. Howard Estes of Wauconda, and. the groom's parents- are Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Branham. High Splint,« Ky. The double ring ceremony took place in the home of the bride's grandparents. A floor length overskirt of chantilly lace, whiclr covered a street length sheath pf white taffeta, featuring bracelet sleeves; created a most attractive bridal costume. A crown of seed pearls held , her 'shoulder length silk illusion veil in place. The bridal bouquet was formed of white mums and tea roges. The cousin of the' former Miss Estes served as maidof honor and wore a pastel floor length gown and carried a c o l o n i a l b o u q u e t . P a u l Estes, the bride's brother was best man. Parents of the bridal couple a n d o t h e r r e l a t i v e s , a n d friends formed the group of s e v e n t y - f i v e p e r s o n s who met for the wedding reception in a club in Kentucky. Following their nuptials and festivities, the newly wedded couple toured the state, meeting relatives on both sides of the family. Upon their return, the new Mrs. Branham will return to her studies and graduate in June. Mr. Branham is employ-, ed as a plasterer 'and drywall taper in the McHenry area. ^ Altar And Rosary In Regular Meeting The Altar and Rosary sodality of St. Patrick's church will hold its regular meeting in the church hall on Jan. 9 at 8 p.m. Benediction will prececje-\jthe meeting at 7:45 o'clock. Cards and refreshments will be enjoyed following the business discussion. A large attendance is asked as the new year begins and members are asked to bring, a friend to the meeting. Membership in the sodality is open. Ringwood Man To Take Bride MARY LOUISE , GERTENRICH Announcement has been made of the engagement of Miss Mary Louise Gertenrich, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy H. Gerjenrich of 11421-194th street, Mokena, 111., to Everett May, son of Mr. and Mrs. George A. May of Ringwood. Mr. "May is employed on the faculty of Bloom Township high school, Chicago Heights. His fiancee attends Northern Illinois university, from which she will graduate next June. No definite date has been set for the wedding. WOMAN'S CLUB TO SEE ROSE PARADE FILM The January meeting of the McHenry Woman's Club will be held on Friday, the thirteenth. at 1 p.m. at the Community Methodist'church. A program entitled "It's A Small World," a color film of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses, will be presented. Mrs. Donald W. Gerlitz. first vice-president and program chairman, will be chairman of the day, with Mrs. Frank Gregory on hand as tea. hostess. The Crystal Lake Woman's olub has extended an invitation to the McHenry Woman's club to attend their Reciprocity Day on Tuesday, Jan. 10, at the First Methodist church at 1 p.m. A program entitled "Build With Youth For a Better World" will be presented. Local Couple's Engagement Told BENEFIT DANCE IN COUNTY AIDS MARCH OF DIMES McHenry county teen-agers are completing plans for a benefit, dance for the March of Dimes. The dance will be held at the "New Place", a liopular teen-age night club, located two miles north of Algonquin on Route *»1. Sunday. Jan. 15. from to 9:^0 p.m. All entertainment, facilities, and help for this project are boine: donated. The highlight of the entertainment will be tlie appearance of the 'Crynn' Shames" a nationally known group that has such hit recordings as "Sugar, n' Spice" and. . "I Want To Meet You."
