McCullom Lake News EVE LEVESQUE SM-4141 REPORT LAKE IN CONDITION FOR FISHING DERBY A water physics and chemistry report from state biologist Bruce Muench indicates an ice covering of eight inches on the lake which would make for excellent fishing for the proposed ice fishing derby, scheduled for Feb. 18 and 19. Continued below freezing temperatures will increase the depth. He did offer a warning that conditions are prevalent which could result in winter-killing of fish and that would be insufficient oxygen for the denizens of the deep. The report was offered to the Cullom- Knoll Association at the regularly scheduled meeting held Sunday, Jan. 8, in the beachhouse, £y Kenr&tn Bette, chairman of the derby. He vqlunteered the information that steps would be taken to remedy the situation il it does occur and he has the equipment and manpower to strip the snow, if it becomes necessary. Condition of the water was also listed as clear to the bottom with no sign of turbidity or odor.
