for RAPID K E S U L T S DIAL 385-0170 -0170 385-01.70 DEPOSIT INCREASE ttOTED AT BANK'S ANNUAL MEETING T h e s i x t y - f i r s t a n n u a l meeting of the stockholders of the McHenry State bank was held at the bank's quarters on Tuesday Jan. 10. Executive Vice-Prfesident Robert L. Weber reviewed the year's business to the assembled stockholders. According to Mr. Weber,, the ""bank's deposits increased more than a million dollars during the year. While this increase c was not as spectaular as some past years, Weber did point out that the bank's total footings were at an all time yearend high at more than thirty and one-half million dollars. President Gerald J. Carey pointed out that the last year showed orderly growth and that even though the bank's total loans were near fifteen million dollars, there is still money available for good loans, it -has been the bank's policy to consider only sound loans regardless of the supply of money. M.' stockholders that all total#, including income, were at an all-time high,. He did point out, however, that nearly $200,000 of the bank's earnings was used to pay taxes. Of this amount nearly $50,000.00 was paid in local taxes; More than one-half a million dollars was paid out in interest to savings depositors; and of course, the salaries of more than fifty officers and employees is a major operating expense. Vice-President and Trust Officer Richard J. Zieman reviewed the progress of the Trust department, this being one of the newer services offered by the local bank. It is natural that it is also one of the fastest growing departments. The following directors were re-elected: Gerald J. Carey, William M. Carroll, William A. Nye, M. D., RoberlTL. Weber, Thomas F.
