An inventory shows the hospital has' hundreds of instruments worth thousands of dollars, Bert Hanson, administrator said, in announcing the most recent purchase. The newest specialized instruments include a variety of pieces for specialized purposes to supplement the orthopedic instruments the hospital has had in its surgical department. Rauen, chairman of the board of the McHenry Savings and Loan Association, has been appointed a member of the Permanent Reserve committee of the Ill i n o i s Savings and Loan league. Guest speaker for the evening was William Johnson, representative for muscular d y s t r o p h y , Rock River chapter. His subject, "Why Should I Help?" was directed toward muscular dystrophy, one of the world's largest destroyers. David Barker, teacher of the handicapped room of West school, Crystal Lake, introduced the new progress report card, which will include academic skills, independence and the attitude of the student. With the close of membership next Monday, Jan. 23, officers anticipate between fifty and fifty-five singers Most of the choral music was looked over by those attending, covering a wide range of styles in keeping with the theme of the May 6 and 7 program, Moods in Music. They included a "Camelot" medley representing the musical show field; 'Pilgrim's Chorus" from the opera "Tannheuser; "I Love My Love", a Cornish folk soltg; "Dream" and "Mood Indigo" from the lighter field.
