Due to the cold weather the dedication was held in the church. With many friends and relatives coming from McHenry, Johnsburg, and as far as Chicago, coffee and cake were served in the fellowship hall following the dedication. Don Michels Drive is the first road north of the church nnfl runs east off of Wonder T-akP Road to the improved parking area. Oat of Hospital . Ballerina) For Carolyn Carolyn Ehredt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ward Ehredt, Oakwood Shores, celebrated her seventh birthday a little early this year. Although her birthday is Jan. 17, Carolyn and her friends celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 14. Carolyn's guests included Ann Walker, Margaret Ruggero, Kathleen Ahern, Caryn Hartmann, Kelly Fallaw, Nancy Gaub, Mary Weber, Debbie Maris, Julie Huff, ganrii and Shari Schau and Eddie Braddock. The theme of the party was pink ballerinas. A centerpiece of pink ballerinas adorned the table and a pink on pink cake was served with ice cream and pink p u n c h . To round off the day the Ehredts visited Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Gulik of Rockford where supper was served in honor of both Mr. Gulick and Carolyn. John Craig, Bill Cristy and Horace Wagner attended the McHenry Kiwanis Club. Saturday night was the installation of the 1967 officers at the. Lakeview Inn. The Club Officers will attend a division meeting at De Kalb hosted by the new Lt. Gov. Dean Lyman on Sunday, Jan. 22. Condolences Deepest sympathy is extended to Mrs. Elmer Raske on the sudden death of her brother, Albert Pierce, of Round Lake. Uncle A1 was a friend to all and will be certainly missed by all. Inter-Faith Meeting Don't forget Friday, Jan. 20 at 8 p.m. is the interfaith meeting at Christ the King church. Parishioners of Nativity Lutheran and Ringwood Methodist will participate at this meeting. Refreshments will be served. All in this area is invited to attend. Touth Organization Dance The first event of the Wonder Lake Youth Organization proved a marvelous success as seventy teens from the neighboring commun i t i e s rocked to the misic of an orchestra. The dance, which was held in the hall of Christ the King church, is the first of a series of events planned by the Youth Council. The idea of the ' Council" is to provide sponsored activities geared to the taste of today's young people. The' council is composed of two representatives from each of the local schools. Janis Mendyke and Jim Ruggero from Marian, Colleen and Mike Duffy from Woodstock, and Cheri Mondek and Frank Mazzone from McHenry.
