Antibiotics, on the other hand, contain substances hostile to Ufee disease-causing germs which provide the body with the means of destroying the attacking germs. They are used quite extensively these days in prescriptions to combat a wide variety of human ailments. Whatever antibiotic your doctor prescribes will be found at BOLGER'S DRUG STORE. Records Set At Fish Derby Three wide mouth bass were caught during the ice fishing derby held at McCullom Lake last weekend, which topped last year's record of 2.59 lbs. Robert Freund, McHenry, angled a bass weighing 3.19 lbs., Da an Rausch of Dundee landed a bass weighing 2.85 and Tom Fries of Chicago brought one in which won a prize for him and weighed 2.79 lbs. With an estimated attendance of between 1,500 and 2,000 persons and more than 550 participants, attendance records were also broken. Estimates were made by Gregory Tichacek, district fishery biologist, one of the judges, who said, "More bass were caught here in two days than any derby Pve attended this winter and the fish were just as large as those caught in bigger lakes." Ken Betts, general chairman and vice-president of the Cullom- Knoll Association, which sponsored the winter sports event, said the derby topped all expectations and hopes are high that ground breaking for the youth center will take place in the spring. In addition to Mr. Tichacek, other officials taking part were Bruce Muenche, northeast area fish biologist, and Jim Vavra, game warden. A comical sight was tallest fisherman -- Larry Bruce of Wonder Lake who measures six feet, four inches -- claiming his prize for landing the smallest fish. Ben Saddler of Chicago was awarded the special prize. Roger Skinner of Evanston, one of the 100 prize winners, said he came to the derby because of the excellent coverage in Chicago newspapers, radio stations and on television. Traffic and parking problems were handled efficiently by the,* McCullom Lake police department, led by Chief Earl Murray and Sgt. Ken Loesch, and by the four man group from the Fox Valley police reserve, headed by Clem Wirfs. The man's auger contest was won by Ron Creutz, Mc Henry, and many contests and races were held for youngsters. Carry Meyer of Richmond was awarded a prize for being the oldest fisherman on the ice on Saturday and Gunnar Nelson, McCullum Lake captured that prize on Sunday. With the wonderftil success of this year's winter sports event, the derby committee plans to expand next year's derby. READ THE CLASSIFIEDS EXPERT ©aooMiw© (All Breeds).. • E©ABDHiT6. The cover of this year's directory shows a profile of Abraham Lincoln silhouetted against an Illinois landscape. The cover is designed to symbolize the rich heritage of the people of Illinois. Jozwiak urged customers to look at the opening pages of their new directories when they receive them. "Complete details on how to call from McHenry appear in the first few pages of the new directory," he explained. "These pages also contain time-saving instruction on howto place calls to the telephone business office or repair service, and how to dial direct to Information in any U. S. city outside Alaska and Hawaii." Customers ihay begin using the new directories as soon as they receive them, he said. Jozwiak advised customers to give old directories a good shaking before throwing them away to prevent loss of any items of value left between the pages.
