Hie evening will start out with the serving of a patluck supper. One dish to pass per family is requested from the members who intend to be present at this time. The meeting will be concluded at 8:30 p.m. New officers are reminded that there will be practice on Sunday, April 9, immediately' after the 9:30 Mass. Please try to be punctual. DIAPER LINE DOINGS Spring came in on March 21, officially, and on this date, Lea and Harriette Marshall became first-time grandparents. And that is as official as the coming of Spring. Their son and his wife, Am and Lydia Marshall, welcomed a beautiful little girl who weighed a healthy 8 lbs. 6 ox. at birth. She will answer to the name of Dawn Lynn. Jim has been stationed at Camp Pendleton, Calif., with the Marines for sometime now. He started a lengthy leave on March 20. As soon as wife and baby were discharged from the hospital the new little family boarded a plane for home. You can well imagins ths excitement going on at the Marshall house-1 hold during these next few Mrs. Emily Kotiw of McHenry is the proud maternal grandmother. Our very sincerest congratulations to all these happy people. The score was tied, three to three, in the home of Stanley and Marge Schmitt, as of March 19. Their sixth child, and third daughter, was welcomed into their family cm this date in St. Therese hospital. Patricia Ann weighed a little over 83£ lbs. at the time of birth. Waiting at home to make her acquaintance are Larry, Duane, Loren, Barbara and Janice. Many happy wishes to tfcs Schmitt family and to Mrs. Mary Schmitt, the paternal grandmother, who resides on Church Street. FUN FAIR INVITATION Remember April 15 is the date of the Fun Fair pot on by the Johnsburg Public school. Everycua is invited to come on in and spend an enjoyable afternoon. Marge Barth is still locking around for things that she can use in her cooatry store. If you have aqytMng in the line of white elephant items, glassware, plants, toys, games, etc., in usable condition,please contact her right away. Please keep April 15 in mind as a time for fun at the Johnsburg public school annual fun fair. RE-ENTERS HOSPITAL Just last week I printed bow ba&oy we were to hsar Mrs. William J. Meyers was home after' caveral weeks csrnfinemenl in the Mc Henry hospital. Pm sorry to say she is once again a patient there, ft was necessary for her to return to the hospital last Friday. Get those cards in the mail for her now, as Pm sure they will do a lot for her moral. PEOPLE ON THE GO Mr. and Mrs. Bon Rinkenberger and daughter, Ann Marie, of Minneapolis, Minn., spent Monday and Tuesday as guests in the home of Frank and Agffiss FreuM. The entire Himplemann family Ejreni Easter Sunday in the home of Grandma Himplemann in Chicago. Dave, who is home from school, was happy to go along also. Mrs. Mamie King thoroughly enjoyed Easter dinner in her son Gene's home in McHenry. The Emil Debrechts were in Oak Lawn for several days over the Easter weekend. Mrs. Debrecht had to check back with her doctor to see how well her eye was healing following recent surgery. This time was spent in their son's home vioitiits with three lively groEJteons. Oisr family, along with my dad, John Dahn of Chicago, my two slaters, as! their families, the Ted Beeskows of Chicago and the Bert Davises, of Glen Ellyn, all enjoyed a family- type holMay in the Richard Dahn horns on Sunday. Mil and Richard May helped make the day even more enjoyable. Tony and Agnes Freund, the Stanley Pankiewiez family, the Walter Berg family, Herb Freund, and Frank and Agnes Freund all spent Easter as guests in the Robert Freund home. Traveling to the city to spend last Sunday with her folks were Roger and Gloria Pechous and their youngsters. Having almost a week off from their teaching duties came in handy for Harold and Marilyn May. It gave them ample time to drive to Des Moines and spend sometime with her family. FAREWELL TO THE MEYERS FAMILY All the friends and neighbors of the Meyers family, former residents on Spring Grove Road, bid them goodbye last week. They are now living in Jacksonville, 111. where he is working. We wish them much happiness in their new surroundings and hope their three sons find as many friends there as they had here. NOTES OF SADNESS All of us extend our heartfelt sympathies to the Phil Bartmann family, and to Mrs. Julia Karpinski upon their recent losses. Phil's dad passed away recently after quite an extended illness, although he was a man in his early fifties. Mr. Bartmann was survived by his widow and two daughters, one who is Mrs. Gene Nett of Chapel Hill Road. To her go our sincerest sympathies also. Fred Karpinski passed away at the McHenry hospital on Saturday, just a few hours after admittance. Although he had been ill for a time, his death came as a shock to all. Brabenec is presented the Army's Commendation Medal by Col. T. A. Rodgers, director of the Army Missile Command's Missile Intelligence Directorate. Brabenec, a native of McHenry, was relieved from active duty on March 9 and started teaching math at Wheaton college cm March 13. While at Redstone Arsenal he served in the special pro jects branch of the Missile Intelligence directorate. He and his wife, the former Bonneftta Lee of Chicago, are parents of two sons. MINISTERIAL GROUP SUPPORTS TWO REFERENDA At the March- meeting of the McHenry County Ministerial association, Cal Skinner, Sr., secretary of the McHenry County Junior College association, presented the facts compiled for the Junior college referendum which will be voted on April 1. Following the very informative talk, Mr. Skinner proceeded to answer any questions concernii^ this matter in McHenry county. It was then agreed that the McHenry County Ministerial association endorse this referendum and encourage all residents to vote. The subject of the Mental Health referendum was presented by Dr. George Malley of the Mental Health Center for McHenry County. Following this presentation there was & question and answer period. It was then determined by the association to give an endorsement to this referendum.
