Guest speaker will be Roy M. Nordine, head propagator for the Morton Arboretum at Lisle. Mr. Nordine will speak and demonstrate different types of propagating of plant life. All men interested in gardening are invited, this being an open meeting. Ladies are also invited. Meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5. CHARLES SIEGMUND Charles W. Siegmund, 71, of 1317 Lawn court, McHenry, died (Mi March 22 at Northwest Community hospital, Arlington Heights. Mr. Siegmund was born Jan. 2, 1896, in Chicago. He had resided in McHenry for about five years. Survivors are his wife. Alma. L.; two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Martha) Alton of Barrington and Mrs. Clyde (Cecilia) Forester of Glenview; one son, Charles W. Jr., of New Jersey and ten grandchidren.. The deceased was a World War I veteran. Services were conducted Saturday morning from St. Paul's Episcopal church, with interment in Memorial Park cemetery, Skokie. Prior to that time the body rested in the Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home. daughters, Mrs. Benjamin (Grace) Smith and Ellen De- Young of Chicago; thirty-one grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Burial was in Glen Oak cemetery. Hie deceased was a retired mechanic for Bowman Dairy. Mr. Torkelson is survived by his wife, Margaret; six children, Annie Ramsey, Dagmar Johnson, Donald P., Bert T., Arne H. and Irma Spohnholtz; sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. FRED KARPINSKI Funeral services for Fred Karpinski were held Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock from St. John's Catholic Church, Johnsburg, with burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Karpinski. 63, died in McHenry hospital last Saturday, March 25, following a four-month illness. • He was born in Rosholt, Wis., May 20, 1903, and for the past fifteen years made his home at 3803 N. Weingart road, McHenry. Mr. Karpinski was a member of the Polish National Union, McCullom Lake, and the Holy Ndme society of St. John's church. The deceased was a retired shipping clerk for the Fansteel Corp., Waukegan.
