T^ie bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Fred Pitzmeyer of Wauconda and the groom, who resides at 2605 W. Indian' trail, McHenry, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Fred Wagner, also of McHenry. Mrs. Diane Wagner and Miss Marilyn Wagner acted as matron and maid of honor, respectively, and the bridesmaid was Miss Phyllis Wagner of McHenry. Gerald Wagner of Round Lake served as best man and ushers were Fred Giqptill of Twin Lakes and Loren Wagner of McHenry. LoriAnn Vanderwerff of Libertyville was the flower girl and Gerald Schimmel of Wauconda, the ring bearer. After a honeymoon trip to Florida, the couple will be at home In McHenry April 30. Newlyweds Miss Lockwood Wed Saturday Miss Nancy Kaye Lockwood, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Lockwood of 1701 N. Court street, McHenry, was a pretty bride on Saturday, April 22, when she became the wife of Mr. Walter Eugene O'Neil in a candlelight service solemnized at 6:30 o'clock in the evening. Mr. O'Neil is the son of Mrs. Charlotte O'Neil of 116 Briarwood, Crystal Lake. Rev. White officiated at the ceremony, for which Miss Sara BorchaTdt of McHenry was soloist and Carrie Lou Thomas, organist. The church was beautifully decorated with bouquets of white and yellow pom poms. The attractive bride walked down the aisle wearing a white peau de sote, floor length dress with white brocade jacket. The gown was styled with pointed sleeves, neckline embroidered in pearls and a train for mi rig a petal. Her fleurette crown was made of pearls and aurora crystals, with a shoulder length veil. Miss Lockwood carried a traditional cascade of stephanotis, carnations and ivy centered with yellow baby roses. The silver cross she wore was a gift of the groom. Acting as maid of honor was Kathy Kofctal of Wonder Lake and bridesmaids were Mary Ann Gayford of Algonquin, Charlene Benz of Barrington and Kathy O'Connor of Palatine. Miss Kostal wore a yellow floor length dress styled with square neckline and had a headpiece of white carnations to match her dress. Miss Gayford was in light green with matching floral headpiece, Miss O'Connor in pink andMiss Benz in blue. Karen Davis and Linda Davis of Lake-in-the Hills, acted as flower girls for their aunt. They were attired in yellow dresses, with yellow bows in their hair, and carried baskets of carnations. Terry Wunderlich of Wonder Lake served the groom as best man and groomsman was Ronny Coff man of Cary. Gary Lockwood of McHenry, brother of the bride, and Edward O'Neil, Jr., of Chicago, the groom's brother, were ushers. Mrs. Lockwood selected for her daughter's wedding a light blue suit made of lace, with white accessories. Her corsage was of pink carnations. Mrs. O'Neil wore a green suit with green lace bodice, bone accessories and a'white carnation corsage. Following the ceremony, 255 guests gathered at the McHenry V.F.W. clubhouse for a reception. Later, the young coiqjle left on a trip to Colorado and upon their return will reside at 29 W. Oak, Lake-in-the- Hills. The bride is a graduate of McHenry high school with the class of 1963 and attended Northern Illinois university for a year. She is employed ^n the office of Chicago Ariel, Barrington. JOHN MANSFIELD M Miss Susan Bockman of Lakeland Park was married last Friday evening, April 21, to Mr. John Mansfield of Hebron in a lovely wedding ceremony solemnized in Zion Lutheran church. VA reception for 150 guests was held later in the V.F.W. clubhouse. After a short wedding trip, the bride and groom will make their home in Woodstock. ALL-A STUDENT Northern Illinois university's 119 all-A students were honored at a dinner April 20 in the Capitol room at the university center. Among them was Kathleen K. Foran of 3313 Broad street. WIN SCHOLASTIC HONORS A total of 420 Eastern Illinois university students in Charleston received academic honors for the winter quarter, among them Carla Dietz of McHenry. ST. PAUL'S TO SERVE SPAGHETTI SUPPER APRIL 29 The seventh annual spaghetti supper of St. Paul's Episcopal churchwomen will be held Saturday, April 29, at the Masonic hall, 1309 Court street, with serving to begin at 5 p.m. and continue until 8 o'clock. The public is invited to attend and may (Main tickets at the door. In previous years, this supper has been held on Shrove Tuesday. Pre-schoolers are the guests of their families and friends and will be admitted free of charge. McHENRY MODELS ARE CHOSEN FOR • BENEFIT REVUE "A World of Fashions" is the theme of the fashion show to be presented by the women's auxiliary of the McHenry county chapter of the Illinois association for the Crippled, to be held Monday, May 8, at Simonini's, Algonquin. 9 This is one of the mainbenefit events of the auxiliary year. The auxiliary operates in the interest of financing projects for the Easter Seal society t>f the foregoing organization, v Outfits are direct from New York and styled in the latest design with an abundance of color. EXPECT LARGE ENROLLMENT IN CANDY STRIPERS A large enrollment is anticipated for the spring training course to be given young girls interested in serving as Candystripers at McHenry hospital, ft will be given on two consecutive Saturday mornings, May 13 and 20, in the hospital dining room by a registered nurse. Girls who are at least 14 years old and in high school are eligible to participate in this worthwhile program which has trained hundreds Of girls from McHenry and surrounding communities since 1958. In addition to the service the Candy striper program renders to the hospital and to the patients, it also rewards its participants with the satisfaction that comes from helping those in need. , Applications may be obtained at any time at the hospital switchboard. PETER WEINGARTS PLAN POSTPONED 50TH YEAR PARTY Mr. and Mrs. Peter Weingart are planning for the observance of their fiftieth wedding anniversary postponed from Oct. 15 when Mrs. Weingart was hurt in a fall. Open house will be held Sunday, May 7, from 5 p.m. to midnight at the V.F.W. Clubhouse. A Mass in their honor will be sung at 5 o'clock that day at St. Mary's church. Dinner will follow for the family and invited guests. IN HONOR SOCIETY Sherry Lynn Gehrke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard P. Gehrke of 3212 Skyway drive, McHenry, has been chosen for membership in Alpha Lambda Delta, national scholastic honor society for freshman women at the University of Illinois.
