Among those to be featured in his section are Mary Ann Wegener, Mary Idstein and Otto Pyritz. Concluding the program will be an island setting in keeping with the musical comedy, "South Pacific". The wealth of popular selections from the pen of Rodgers and Hammerstein include "Bali Hi", "Younger Than Springtime" and "I'm Going to Wash That Man Right Out of My Hair". It will conclude with "Some Enchanted Evening" sung by Donald E. Johnson, who will be joined by the entire chorus. Other soloists include Betty Smith, Carolyn Ritthaler, Peg Boarini and Phillip Schoen. Meyer Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald R. Meyer Sr., of 3619 W. Main Street, McHenry. is a member of the Seventh Engineer battalion in Da Nang, Vietnam which is a unit of the First Marine division. His battalion supports the division through road and building construction, and the laying of land mines/Engineers are also trained in the use of explosives and demolitions. Jferome "Butch" Aguirre is home on leave from Viet nam visiting his mother, Mrs. Lola Mears. He will report to California May 21 to return to Viet Nam for about five more months' duty with the Marines in the helicopter Medivac squadron. Plaindealer employees are probably more impatient than Mother Duck, who realizes that in due time the ten eggs on which she is sitting will hatch noisy little ducklings. Mother Duck arrived in the vicinity ofvthe newspaper office last Wednesday and since that time soendi several hoursaday sittingontheeggs, which are neatly arranged in a setting of leaves under a gas meter leading into the building. When she flies away occasionally, the eggs are neatly covered for protection. She seems unaware of the busy world that moves around her, but did become indignant and hissed at a concerned young lady who stopped to feed her. Marine Reserve Second Lieutenant Harold T. Foss Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs, Harold T. Foss Sr. of 128 Sheridan road, McHenry, has reported to the U.S. Naval Air station, Pensacpla, Fla. for advanced instrument flight training with Training Squadron Six. While at the squadron he will undergo training in the Navy's "Trojan" aircraft, gaining the knowledge he needs to be able to fly modern, complex military aircrafLJn all weather conditions. QUI XHOX, VIETNAM - Ru*- dolpli C. Fischer Jr.. 22, whose parents live at 2418 W. Mehring avenue, McHenry, was promoted to Army specialist four recently, while serving with the 71st Transportation company near Qui Nhon. Vietnam. Spec. Fischer, a transportation, movement specialist in the company, entered the Army in August. 1965, and was last stationed at Ft. Bliss. Tex. He is a 1962 graduate of McHenry Community high school.
