OTTO ROSS MAN Last rites were conducted Thursday afternoon from the Sharp funeral home in Dundee for Otto Rossman, 74, of 303 Grove street, Carpentersville, who died May 8 in Sherman hospital, Elgin. Mr. Rossman was born in this area, son of August and Loretta Rossman. He had lived in Carpentersville for the past fortythree years and \vas retired since 1961 from Illinois Iron and Bolt Co. He is survived by his widow, Mary; a daughter Mrs. Mildred Cox, of Elgin; two sons, Robert and Donald, both of Carpentersville; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; vone brother, Charles, of Cary; and|thi-ee sisters, Mrs. Anna Fulmer of Elgin, Mrs. Lean Riley of Woodstock and Mrs. Rose Smedberg of Los Angeles, Calif. WALTER DeROCHE A funeral $ass was sung Friday morning in St. Patrick's Catholic church for Walter L. DeRoche, 74, of 2916 Magellan drive, McHenry, who died May 10 in his home. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. DeRoche was born May 4, 1893, in Chicago. He was a retired executive of a printing firm. The deceased was a veteran of World War 1 and was a member of McHenry Post, No. 491, American Legion. Mr. De Roche also was past commodore of the Pistakee Yacht club. He is survived by his- widow, Hazel; a son, Jack, of Pittsburg, Pa.; and four grandchildren. CHARLES S. JOHNSON Charles S. Johnson, 66, of 1629 N. Park street, McHenry, died Thursday, May 11, in his home. Discovery of his death was made by his son, Charles L., who went to the home about 5 o'clock in the afternoon and found him sitting in a chair, the television set turned on. His wife had left the previous day for Elmhurst to care for a friend who had just returned from the hospital. An investigation conducted by Coroner Ehorn revealed that death was due to a stroke. Mr. Johnson was born Oct. 3, 1900, in Chicago and made his home in McHenry for twenty- one years after moving here from Chicago. He was an independent mason contractor. Besides his wife, Florence, he leaves one son, Charles L., of McHenry; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Cunny, of Crystal Lake; and six grandchildren. Masonic services were conducted Friday evening at 8:30 o'clock and a Christian Science Service was held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial was private. Mr, Johnson was a member of McHenry Lodge, No. 158, AF & AM. JOHN MARUSKA John Maruska, 84, died at his home at 1004 W. Ringwoodroad Tuesday evening, May 16. The body was brought to the George R. J us ten & Son funeral home and then transferred to the Mensik chapel at 2718 W. 51st street, Chicago, for arrangements. Mrs Mul OLIVER J. STRATTON Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Pierce-Bier funeral home in Woodstock for Oliver J. Stratton, 57, of Woodstock, who died unexpectedly in his home Saturday evening, May 13. Burial was in Oakland cemetery. Mr. Stratton, a native of Ridgefield, was the husband of Carolyn Regner of McHenry. A memorial was established in his name for Memorial hospital, Woodstock, to purchase heart equipment. NICHOLAS SAURA Nicholas Saura, 67, of Waterview avenue, McHenry, died May 12 in McHenry hospital. Mr. Saura had resided in this area for thirty-three years. He was a retired bartender for the Woodstock Country club and a member of the Chicago Greater Moose lodge. Besides the widow, Agnes, he leaves a daughter, Caroline Rose, at home; a brother, Michael, of Seattle, Wash.; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Russo and Mrs. Carmele Ursini, both of Seattle. Services were held Monday morning at the Querhammer funeral home, Crystal Lake, with interment in Crystal Lake Memorial Park cemetery. NICHOLAS SAURA Funeral services were held Monday morning in the Querhammer funeral home, Crystal Lake, for Nicholas Saura, 67, of 3121 Waterview avenue, McHenry, who died last week. Interment was in Crystal Lake Memorial Park. Survivors are his wife, Agnes; and one daughter, Caroline Rose. EDITH DEDLOW Last rites were conducted Wednesday afternoon from the Querhammer chapel in Crystal Lake for Mrs. Edith Marie Dedlow, 81, of Pool street, Burton's Bridge, who died May 15 in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Earl Lawrence. Burial was in Crystal Lake Memorial park. DEBRA LYNN Z IE MANN Debra Lynn Ziemann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Ziemann of 7405 Wooded Shore drive, Wonder Lake, diedSaturday morning, May 13, at Memorial hospital, Woodstock. She had been ill most of her short life. Besides her parents, she is survived by a sister, Cynthia, 1 year old. The Mass of the Angels was sung Tuesday morning at Sacred Heart church, Nekoosa, Wis. LOUISE MULLINS Mrs. Louise Mullins, 69, daughter of the late John and Mary Stilling, died May 15 in South Shore hospital, Chicago. Survivors are two daughters, f rs. Julius Frankowski and Kay ullins; one son, Dr. Edward Mullins, of Chicago; and two brothers, John and Albert Stilling of McHenry. One brother, Joseph, preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 9:30 from St. Bride's church, with burial in St. Mary's cemetery, Chicago.
