WELCOME NEWS It seems there are never enough hours in the day to get everything done. When I do get a chance to read my journals I look to the future with interest - to' see the outcome of the University of Minnesota's new treatment for the "executive's affliction" or the stomach ulcer. In this nonsurgical technique the stomach temoerature is lowered to almost zero for close to an hour. If the high hopes held out for this treatment live up to expectations, it will be welcome news for many of the nation's over two million ulcer sufferers. Welcome news for prescription holders is that quality and service are still second to nothing. The Holiday Hills Property Owner's Association is sponsoring a night of fun at Casey's hall. Strictly informal is the rule for the evening and the fun begins at 8:30 p.m. The committee under the chairmanship of Carl Weiss has a few different gimicks and ideas to add to your good time, so come on down, no need for fancy clothes, dress comfortably, and join in on the fun. That's this Saturday, June 3, at Casey's hall on River Road at Griswold Lake, LAST CALL FOR SWIMMING REGISTRATION Today is June 1, the deadline set by Mary Mahon of the Holiday Hills Woman's Club for registration for swimming lessons. As has been their custom in the past, the Woman's Club sponsors the swimming lessons at our lake beach. A qualified Red Cross instructor is hired, and the children who pass receive their Red Cross certificates at the end of instruction period. Classes are held from beginners to Junior Life Saving, if we have children desiring to go that far. How wel! do your children swim? Do they swim, or do they just go down to the beach to play? They can have more fun if they know how to swim and their knowledge may someday save their life or the life of someone else. Living near the water, as we do here, everyone should know how to swim for their own leisure and safety. Call Mary Mahon now and register for swimming lessons. 385-5955. * RECEIVES AWARD Our congratulations to Lynda Abbink who was the recipient of the senior service award at the student council banquet on Monday, May 23, at the McHenry Country Club.
