Tranke at their home on east Crystal Lake road, adjacent to Windridge. Directions for driving will be given later and included in the notice that will go to all members. Such a good time was had last year that al 1 those present asked for it to be repeated. A number of descendants of original settlers were on hand and brought cherished heirloom objects and told how they came into the family. This will be repeated this year. If anyone has a family diary they would like to read from of interesting or humorous excerpts, this would be most interesting. If any family diary contains reference to men of the family going to California during Gold Hush Days, this is particularly desired. Inquiry has been made into the possibility of obtaining a pre-Civil War home that was elated for demolition. The Dike home on Pycott road, Crystal Lake, has been acquired and correspondence is in progress between them and the society as to possibility of its preservation. The building fund has received several, substantial donations to it since our Annual Meeting, the contributors being l^eor A arner of Crystal Lake and the McHenry State Bank. The Society is most appreciative of the confidence thus shown in its objectives of preserving and suitably housing the many historical itejis in a fireproof and adequate> building.
