Leaving Holiday Hills on Saturday morning, they drove to Glenwood Farms inMarsailles, 111., and set up camp.Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate and dampened the campers~as well as their spirits. In spite of the weather, they took a trip to Starved Rock and broke up camp on Monday, hoping for more cooperation from the weather man for the next trip. PICNIC We Youngs planned a trip to Starved Rock for Memorial Day and refused to be denied the fun planned. Even tho it rained there most of the day, we picnicked under a makeshift tent and hiked the trails in the wind and the rain. Our guests for the day were Judy Abbink and Tom Dougherty, and all agreed it took real spunk to stay, but we had such a good time, the day will long be remembered. Children need guidance and instruction. Yet what they see is perhaps more important than what they hear. Only good example lends credibility to 4?ood advice. Teenagers are constantly striving for what they consider the extra privileges of adulthood. They have the mistaken conception that they w ill be responsible to no one but themselves once they have reached the "legal" adult age. This idea was born and nourished with the continuing ex ample of indifference on.the part of many irresponsible, adults. L e a d , do n o t p o i n t .
