Pearls highlighted the bodice and full skirt of a dress styled with wrist length sleeves, detachable train with lace and pearl trim. A short veil with Sorehead cluster of seed pearls, sequins and lace made up her headpiece, and she carried a bouquet of white orchids and starburst pom poms, with mint green loops mixed in bouquet. RUSSELL PHILLIPS Announcement has been made of the marriage last Thursday, June 1, of Miss Maribeth Jones, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George D. Jones of Galesburg, 111., to Mr. Russell M. Phillips, son of Mr. asd Mrs. Russell M. Phillips, Sr., of 3319 W. Elm street, McHenry. Hie we&wtg was solemnized at 4 o'clcclt in the afternoon in a ceremoay taking place inSt. Paul's Catholic church, Macomb, with Fr. Joseph Kelley officiating. Acting as maid of hooor was Miss Kathie Kucera of Fox River Grove, a sorority sister of the bride. Frank Livorski of Elmwccd Park, a fraternity brother of the groom, served as best man. A reception followed the ceremony at the Showboat in Maeomb. Hie couple will make their home at 323 W. Adams street, Macomb. Both young people are studot Western Illinois university, where the groom is affiliated with Sigma Tau Gamma social fraternity and his bride with Deltz Zeta sorority. 3705 W. Maple, McHenry, and the late Darlene Kennebeck, exchanged mgntial vows in St. Mary's Catholic "Church at 12:30 o'clock, with Fr. Eugene Baumhofer officiating. The children's choir offered fgpropriate music. Mrs. Menillee Tronsen of McHenry acted as matron of honor for her sister and jimior bridesmaids were the Misses Jane and Ann Liptrot, also her sisters. Mrs. Tronsen chose a floor length, mint green satin dress, with net overlay to the floor, styled with three-quarter length sleeves of net. A mint green satin tow with streamers fell from the back neckline to the waist. She wore a mint green circle veil on her head and carried a colonial bouquet of white carnations andtinted mint green starburst pom poms tied with matching ribbon.' The junior attendants had short dresses of mint green, cotton eyelet embroidery, A-. Jina style, with matching satin bows and streamers at the back of the* neckline, reaching to the waist. They carried ball bouquets of white carnations and mint green starburst pompoms and matching bow on top. Dean Kennebeck of McHenry served as best man and Master Brian Kennebeck was groomsina, Mrs. Liptrot was attired in a jonquil yellow, sleeveless, street length dress with standup collar, matching shoes and flowered bat' in shades of yellow and green. Other accessories were in white and she hM a- white orchid corsage. Following the service, a reception was held at George Diamond's, near Antioch, Cor fifty guests. ARTS - CRAFTS FAIR What began as a neighborhood garage-sized art exhibit seven years ago has attained impressive multi-city proportions with the announcement that the seventh annual Cary Arts & Crafts fair will be taken over by the women* s auxiliary of the proposed Cary- Grove Community Hospital, and rim as a fund-raising event to benefit that institution. Fair days Will be Aug. 18, 19 and 20 at a site to be announced. NANCY HOWE, PAUL RENOVITCH WED SATURDAY Rev. Richard N. Wright of the Wonder Lake Bible church officiated at the afternoon wedding on June 3 which united in marriage Miss Nancy Kathleen Howe and Mr, Paul David Renovitch. The ceremony was ' solemnized at 2 o'clock in a church decorated for the occa- ' sion with floral arrangements of yellow glads and white mums. Miss Howe is the daughter of MT. and Mrs. Robert Gilbreath Howe of 7318 W. Rt. 120, McHenry, and the bridegroom is the sonof Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Renovitch of Glenham, New York. The pretty, young bride selected a long, fitted gown of white satin peau de soie, in princess style, with lace bodice, long sleeves and scalloped neckline, fi featured a chapel length train. Her fingertip veil fell from a lace pillbox designed and made by her mother-inlaw, and she carried a bouquet of white roses. Miss Linda Kay Diedrichwas soloist, singing "A Wedding Prayer." Attending Miss Howe were Miss Barbara Jean Howe, her sister, as maid of honor, Mrs. Roger Howe of Milwaukee, Wis., a sister-in-law, and Miss Joy Brabenec of Wonder Lake as bridesmaids. They wore long, fitted gowns of ice blue peau de soie in princess style, with lace bodices and short sleeves. On their heads they had short, blue veils and each carried long stem yellow roses. Miss Lori Anne Howe of Milwaukee, 5-year-old niece of the bride, was the pretty flower girl, wearing a short, white lace dress and a circlet of daisies in her hair and carrying a basket of daisies. Gordon Renovitch of Syracuse, N.Y., served his brother as best man and groomsmen and ushers were Roger Howe of Milwaukee, brother of the bride, and Sheldon Hurst of Chicago. Mrs. Howe selected a lavender and blue flowered linen suit and corsage of white roses and carnations. Mrs. Renovitch wore an aqua satin suit covered with white lace and a similar corsage. A reception far between 100 and 125 guests was held in the social hall of the Wonder Lake Bible church following the ceremony. Hie young cot^le will make their home in Deerfield. The former Miss Howe attended Wheaton college for two years and transferred her junior year to Trinity college, from where she will graduate next June. Her husband, a student at Trinity Evangelical Divinity school, graduated from Wheaton college June 5. Mogdans, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Mogdans of 1613 N. Knoll avenue, McHenry. Miss Joosten is a 1964 grad-^. uate of McHenry high school' and is now employed in Chicago. MT. Mogdans is a 1963 graduate of the local high school. He is employed in Crystal Lake. The McHenry Garden club held its regular meeting at the home of Mrs. Henry McMahon. The meeting started with a plant sale from those members donated from their own gardens and homes. Following this, the business meeting was called to order by the president, Mrs. Charles Wagner. Plans were made to go on ia picnic lunch and tour of Whitnall Park, Hales Corners, Wis., on June 28 in lieu of a regular meeting. Members will meet at the Methodist church at 9 a.m. Mrs. Vaughn Jones was appointed chairman of the annual card party to be held July 19 at the home of Mrs. J.T.Grunnwald, 510 N. Clement Lodge road. Seeds were collected to be sent to Downey hospital for the patients to plant and tend as a part of their therapy. This is an annual project of the CMcago Fruit, Flower and Plant guild, of which the Garden club is a member. Bridal Couple CELEBRATION HONORS 25th ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. Richard Schneider were honored recently with a buffet supper in celebration of thsir twenty-fifth wedding anniversary. A light luncheon will be served. The business meeting will be followed by a Garden Walk at various members' homes. Following the business meeting, slides of Japan, China and the Philippines were shown by Mrs. Henry McMahon. Mark Motulewicz Honored Sunday Mark Motulewicz, a member of the graduating class at Marian Central Catholic high school, was honored at a family party Sunday afternoon at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Motulewicz, in Wonder Lake. Twenty-two guests came from Chicago, Wonder Lake and McHenry to enjoy a spaghetti dinner. ALICE MAE WEIRICH x Mr. and Mrs. Arthur G. Weirich of 1411 N. Chapel Hill road, McHenry, announce the engagement of their daughter, Alice Mae, to Leonard Lee Blades, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Blades of 238 W. Rand road, also McHenry. Mrs. Charles Wright asked for approval of the purchase of , a piece of furniture for the Green room in the Woodstock Opera House. At a previous meeting it had been voted to spend the profits of last summer's card party toward the renovation of this room. It was announc ed that the card party this summer would again be held at Mrs. Wright's home on South street on Aug. 22. At the conclusion of the business meeting, luncheon was served, with Mrs. Cleland Leaman of Kenilworth as honored guest. Mrs. Leaman is past regent of the Fort Deartorn chapter, Evanston, a chapter of 500 members. She now holds the office of state recording secretary, Mrs. Leaman attended fiie recent Continental Congress in Washington, D.C., and gave a most interesting account of all the meetings througi that week. A musical rendition of the pledge of allegiance concluded the program. The luncheon committee consisted of Mrs. A. B. Enerson, Mrs. Kenneth Fiske and Mrs. George Johnson. White lilacs with red and blue accessories provided patriotic decoration. Peggy plans to seek a degree in nursing. The Turner scholarship is presented in cooperation with the woman's auxiliary of McHenry hospital. Among the attendants was Charlene Klapperich, sister of the bridegroom. A reception followed at the LaGrange Highland Community center far about 200 guests.
