This jumbo facsimile of a check for that amount was presented to the organization, as well as the same TWO LICENSES REVOKED; FOUR ARE SUSPENDED The office of Secretary of State Paul Powell has revoked the licenses of James W. Dudley of Woodstock and Mary Ellen Tomasello to 4714 W. Lake Shore, McHenry, both for giving while intoxicated. Suspensions are ordered for Thomas C. Adams of 815 N. Green street, Ronald L. Berry of Woodstock and Wallace K. Crawford of Hebron, all for three violations, and Jeffrey V. Weeks of Woodstock for displaying a license not issued to him. Probationary permits have been issued to Basil J. Brudnak of Algonquin and Sheldon F. Moder of 7319 Mohawk drive, Wonder Lake. There is widespread satisfaction throughout the county these days with announcement of more funds for the important work of the McHenry County Retarded Children's association. Also, financial aid is in prospect under a new statute providing for activities on behalf of mental health. In addition to the large check presented by the Moose club, other assistance came from Tomasello's at Johnsburg and plans were made to re-open the doors of the Waterfall house in Dutch Creek Woodlands on behald of the association. Other charities are also among coming events. President Frank Prem of Johnsburg announced this past week that Robert Lamborn of Crystal Lake will act in the capacity of professional director, effective July 1. On Sunday, Harry Hogan became a member of the Catholic church when he was baptized preceeding the noon Mass at Christ the King church in Wonder Lake. Harry also made his First Communion during the Mass. Dorothy and Urban Bauer were sponsors. Room is available for another eight or ten children. 4-H MEETING The meeting of the Ringwood Sunshine Girls was called to order by Pam Low. Old business was discussion of the trip to two large firms which is planned for the last part of July. < Helen Malsch gave a food demonstration, along with Pam O'Halleran. Linda Meyer and Pam Jones gave a health and safety talk. Resae Acker man presented a flower arrangement demonstration. Refreshments were served tjy Toni Jones, Karen Lanway and Pam O'Halleran. Hawleys, after spending their summer vacation in Florida and Hot Springs. They are now residing in Lake Geneva. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Tonyan attended the graduation party for Arnold Diedrich on Wednesday evening in. the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Diedrich. The Bob Brennans spent Sunday afternoon with her folks, the Joe Schmitts, in McHenry. Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Hawley -b were pre-Father's Day dinner guests on Saturday in the Bill Reinwall home in McHenry. PASSENGER ON MOTORCYCLE IS HURT IN CRASH Robert Lehr of Wonder Lake, a passenger on a motorcycle driven by Robert Lunak, Jr., also of Wonder Lake, was takev by ambulance to Memorial hospital, Woodstock, last week for treatment of injuries sustained when their vehicle struck a truck. Lunak was reported to have been driving on Lake Shore drive when he came over a hill and could not stop in time to avoid a collision with a truck driven by Lewis E. Belshaw of Lake Shore drive, who' was backing out of his driveway. < Lunak was ticketed for driving without a driver's license. PRISON VISITS An innovation in Illinois State penitentiary procedures proved highly successful recently atthe Vandalia State Prison farm when almost 100 members ofthe inmates' families visited with them pn the lawn of the institution. This was the frst time that members of prisoners' families were permitted to visit with their relatives inprisonon a "person-to-person" basis. Previous visits have been made through a screen running down the center of a long table across which prisoners and their relatives faced each other.
