THE MCHENRY PLAINDEALER "SERVING THE CHAIN.O-LAKES REGION SINCE 1875" Thursday, June 29, 1967 - McHenry, Illinois RINGWOOD NEWS DOLORES BRENNAN 653*9045 KIWANIS CLUB SPONSORS CLEAN UP CAMPAIGN TOe Wonder Lake Kiwanis Club met last Monday evening and were addressed by Wally Dean, who spoke on "Litterbugging and Air and Water Pollution". Art Lau has asked me to write up on this for bur area, which is included in the Wonder Lake Club. The Wwider Lake Club is spearheading a compaign to rid bur little town and Wonder Lake of junk cars and other debris from our yards. There are a few un-operable cars littering the side of side roads in Ringwood, which should have been moved much sooner than now, and unless they are removed, they will receive a citation from the zoning office. The problem of the air pollution and odors in the Ringwood area were also discussed. What can we do to stop those horrible smells? Maybe if everybody in our little town would call the offending factories when the odors are present they will do something to. stop it. As one local member of the community did, write and protest. It could be that these odors are harmful to our health. Let's clean up the air and grounds and make our little community neat looking.
