PG. 4, SEC. 2 - PLAIN DEALER - JULY 13, 1967 Hospital Emergency Aid EMERGENCY KTRANCE HABITAT BUILDERS ' ON EXHIBIT Another Illinois State Museum experiment, the building of a major wildlife habitat in full view of the public, is proving to be one of the most popular attractions in the museum. Robert Larson, exhibits curator and background artist on the museum staff, is paintir^, on the twenty-five foot curved background, a view of Horseshoe Lake, a great cypress bog in Southern Illinois near Cairo. While the background painting is in progress, Marion K. Hoffman, head curator of exhibits, and Jim McGregor, exhibits technician, are constructing accessories for the foreground. These include, not only plants, but dozens of mounted geese and ducks and the casts of large cypress and tupelo tree trunks. Some time this summer the geese will return to the cypress bog in the Illinois State Museum before they arrive in the real Southern Illinois habitat this fall. HERE AND THERE INCREASE DIVIDENDS McHenry Savings and Loan Association, 1209 North Green Street, McHenry, Illinois, announced that as of June 30, 1967 the 4153 account holders of the Association were sent checks or had credited to their accounts the sum of $152,795.- 66 for the first six months period of 1967. This made a total for the past 12 month period of $309,220.08. In keeping with this announcement, Chairman of the Board Arnold Rauen also stated that the anticipated dividend for the second six months of the year would be increased on investment accounts to 4 3/4%.
