The challenge is always to find a greater vision -- a deeper spiritual perception -- that will guide mankind's progress, and lift men everywhere into their heritage as children of God. Early to bed and early to rise--breakfasts to be hurried along--and what time does the bus get here? Isn't it amazing that vacation time lasts just long enough? When September rolls around we are looking forward to the discipline of a routine, cooler days with the fragrant aroma of burning leaves. As your youngsters leave for school, remind them to watch for cars and walk on the left side of the road facing the traffic and above all, to be very careful to stay clear of the school bus until it stops for boarding. H.H.P.O.A. PICNIC In spite of the cold, wet day on Sunday, Aug. 27, the Holiday Hills picnic was a success. Of course, this didn't just happen. It took a great/ deal of preparatory work by a very hardworking committeeas well "as hard work and deter- ^ mination on that day. Orchids* to Bill Boettcher and his committee; the Ahlgrims, Chesleys, Dolotowskis, Beggerstaffs, Goebels, Grafs, Kathans, Kosups, F. Postals, Petersons, Thurstons, and Weisses,as well as all who braved the elements to come out and to Grace Karlic for all her work on the doll clothes. DR. BRESNAHAN DIES AT HINES Dr. John L. Bresnahan, long time resident of Holiday Hills, died at Hines hospital after a long illness. He passed away on Monday, Aug. 21, and was buried at Resurrection cemetery on Thursday, Aug. 24. Affectionately known as 'Grandpa Bresnahan* to many residents, he is survived l^y into the ground by a plow -- is'more economical than digging a trench, installing the pipe, and backfilling. Here, a bulldozer equipped with a sling hoist positions the pipe behind the plow in preparation for the pull. his wife, Alice, four children and fourteen grandchildren. When your doctor limits the number of times a prescription can be filled there is a good and definite reason. It* s not to get another office call. Goodness knows he is busy enough between office and hospital and a constantly overburdened schedule. Nor is it a conspiracy between the physician and the pharmacist. The pharmacist must fill prescriptions to stay in business, so obviously he does not turn the patient down without a valid reason. Some drugs can cause addiction or undesirable side effects if taken over a long period of time. Or, perhaps the patient should be reexamined to determine his progress. The prescription can then be changed or the dosage corrected if need be. Only your physician is qualified to prescribe for you. How much medicine. . .how often and for how long, only he can say. The doctors effectiveness is in direct ratio to the co-operation of the patient and the pharmacist. Here at BOLGER'S DRUG STORE we try to follow his instructions to the letter. So if we turn you down . . . remember it costs us money . . .BUT. . .your health is more important! For the finest in prescription service come see us . . .we are at 1259 N. Copyright 1967 Keitter Advertising Service, Inc., Straiburg, Va. The Church-is the greatest factor on earth for the building of character and good citizenship. It is a storehouse of spiritual values. Without a strong Church, neither democracy nor civilization can survive. There are four sound reasons why every person should attend services regu- Look ctosely ... in this picture a man is risking his life! , An old and respected trade is his. It had its beginning centurifes ago when Christianity first began to express its devotion in unique forms of architecture. How could Christians proclaim constantly their faith in Christ? How could they lift the eyes of others to behold the Lord of Life? Soon, over gabled village roofs rose gleaming spires. And men who tilled the fields, and men who trod the lanes, rejoiced to behold the symbol of Faith. Then one day cities replaced the villages . . . skyscrapers dwarfed the spires of God. And so, on the day this picture was taken, ten thousand people passed by and never raised their eyes. Only a few looked upward and thought in mild surprise, "Why, isn't that a man way up there on the steeple?" Yes. A MAN. One of hundreds of millions whose skill and courage continue to be needed as the Church fulfills its mission. Maybe your church doesn't have a steeple. But it has a task to challenge your skills . . . your courage. .../Sunday . . Mandayll Ǥ(?muel Psalms 2:2-10 12:5-11 -Tuesday ; Isaiah 55:6-1 1 Wednesday John 1:1-13 ....
