STROLLING THROUGH THE PARK Been hearing strange tales lately about someone's car being hit by a boat! After the whole tale was told though it turned out to be perfectly legitimate but there were a few moments. Max Koch and Bill Kamp were in Missouri over the weekend doing a little cave exploring. Hope these spelunkers had better luck this time than they did last year. Jamie Owens is feeling better after leaving her tonsils at Woodstock hospital last week. Oh that ice cream. The Viscounts and Vikettes marched in the Mount Prospect fiftieth anniversary celebration parade on Sunday. Among the kids from our subdivision who are members of the organizations was Shirley Meurer who was in her first parade. The kids did real well in the affair. , Club Alabi Softball team had Be fVi&e Shop In McHenry JB BBflfl t t ' f l f l f l f l 6 ' f l B ' a P l a t t t l T f l l 8 6 066* • YOUR Masonry Headquarters j BRICK -- STONE -- BLOCKS Sewer Tile -- Drain Hie -- Fireplaces £ McHENRY LUMBER CO. : 4030 W. Because you don't have to worry about it. Go's heat is automatic, needs little maintenance. And, since gas is piped underground, let it snow--you'll have no delivery problem. Because we'll finance your conversion, give you up to 5 years to pay, with payments as low as $3 a month. No down payment needed. (It's sp easy, you'll want to add gas air conditioning too.) Besides the food the group played volleyball, football, baseball and horse-* shoes and then ate again. Chuck and Mary Pierce and their three kids were there as well as Mary's two sisters, Julie and Nancy. Ron and Jackie Creutz and Tom and the Humann family attended from Lakeland Park. These fellows really deserved a big hand after winning twenty-one games and only losing three the whole season. They won first place in the league which has their games in Ingle side, won an instant elimination tournament and went on to win the play-offs for the league. That was some picnic, too. Vickey Bottari attended iite DCCW convention in Freeport over the weekend. She is president of St. Patrick's Altar and Rosary Society. Both Father Beauvais and Father Parker who were assistants at St.* Pat's were there too. The Oakfords entertain the; Arvid Anderson family of Chicago who came out for a day in the country on Sunday. Sharon Wagner who has left for Hawaii where she will be living and working was treated to a farewell party by her coworkers. The party -was held in Chicago which really se^ the mood for the party. Larry Strandquist visited with his mom, Helen, last Sunday for a while. He is here on business. The Strandquists are living in New Jersey. Sure do hate to end on a sour note but there are some kids around here whose idea of fun is to throw eggs and stones at people's homes. These kids probably don't see the paper but maybe their parents do. Some of these kids have been recognized and will be reported if it keeps up. Really improves their image to have such fun activities. WINES and LIQUORS, Inc. Can Not le Beat on Liquor Prices PH. 459 305 VIRGINIA STREET (Adjoining A&P Store Crystal Lake* HI.
