Christopher Steven Kossup was delivered at Condsll Memorial hospit^ in Libertyville 03 Saturday, Oct. 7, to Sue and Dennis Kossup. Weighing 6 lbs., 9 ozs. and measuring m inches, the little charmer, has, beside his proud parents, a 3 year old brother, Scott, and his mrternal grandparents Lu and A1 Ahlgrim. close at hand and at his beck and call. Our congratulations to Sue and Dennis and to Grandpa and Grandma Ahlgrim who are getting. to be old hands at this. RETURNS FROM SOUTH AMERICA ( The Ahlgrims have all kinds of exciting things happening in their family. Beside Sue presenting them "1th a grandson, their daughter, Joyce, just returned recently from South America with her husband, Roger, and her son, Timmy, whom Lu and A1 had never = because he was born during their five year stay in South America as Missionaries. , Joyce and Roger Kenny have returned to the United States for a year's furlough before returning to the missionary field. They spent two weeks here in Holiday Hills and have now gone to Michigan where they are doing deputation work. Lu tells me that Joyce .would like to do some nursing while she is here so that she can brush up on the new techniques before she goes back. WOMAN'S CLUB The Holiday Hills Woman's Club met at the Mahon home on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 8p.m. President Vi Abbink announced that the kick-off dinner will be held at the, time o' ths nsxt regular monthly meeting and that each resident will be contacted to attend. A bake sale will also be held next month and you ai*i a'l respectfully requested to support the sale, with donations and purchases.-' Proceed 5 will go toward the purchase of a new raft for the lake beach. Hostesses for the evening were Pat Hughes and Connie Catanzaro. GRANDPARENTS VISIT Lorna Tackitt's grandparents, Mr. and M\ s.Sam Lightfoot, from Sault Ste. Fron there they travelled through the New England states where they called on cousins of Mrs. Martin, one whom she hadn't seen for fifty years, and another whom she had never seen, and also visited places where Mr. Martinis relatives had resided before migrating to this part of the country. Then on to Montreal whef they visited the Expo., comingN home through Canada to Detroit where they stopped to visit Greenfield Village. In all they covered almost 3,000 miles, called on friends along the way and saw much beautiful fall scenery. Mr. and Mrs. Stephen N. Schmitt, who spent the summer in McHenry, returned to their winter home in St. Petersburg, Fla., last week. Dr. and Mrs. Pape and children of Chicago were Saturday evening visitors in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl McAndrews. Mrs. McAndrews, who returned home from the Woodstock hospital recently, is recovering nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hauner and Mrs. Clara Wright of Chicago were Columbus day guests in the Dale Dixon home. Mr. and Mrs. James Brooks and Mrs. Walter Brooks attended the wedding of Miss Charlotte Owens and Larry Gianneschi which took place at St. Leo's church in River Forest, Saturday, with a reception following ^atthe Chevy Chase country club inWheeling. Mrs. Mark Hopkins and children of Milwaukee spent a few days the past week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Doherty. Mark Spindler of LaGrange Park was a weekend guest of his grandmother , Mrs. G.R. Spindler. Mrs. Walter Carlson and son, Tom, have been spending several days in LaPorte, Ind., where they were called by the illness and death of her father, Edward Kruchton, who passed away on his eighty-second birthday. Survivors other than his daughter are his widow, a granddaughter and grandson. Funeral services were held from St. Peter's church in La- Porte, Saturday. . Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Louderback of Puyallup, Wash., spent several days last week in the Herbert Engdahl home enroute to New York and Washington, DX.
