N SCHOOL REFERENDUM SCHEDULED FOR DEC. 16 Because of the student population growth, more money for schools is needed and a referendum to this effect will be held Saturday, Dec. 16. The polls will be open from noon until 7 p.m. Information is being distributed throughout the community and Mickey Murray and Dorothy Vick have the answers to how much money will be needed and how your tax dollars will be spent. They are requesting families to hold coffees in their home in order to acquaint more people with the situation. If you are available for this vital service, please call Mickey at 385-1064 or Dorothy at 385- 3421. The coffee hours are sipposed to be most informal with the least amount of work for the hostess. The women are hoping there will be a good response to their request. The coffees should be held between Nov. 27 and Dec. 8. MILESTONES Annie and Fred Matthesuis Returns from the recent dance were imcomplete so no report on it v/as forthcoming at this time. HALLOWEEN PRANKS CONTINUE Residents didn't complain when their property was decorated with bathroom tissue on Halloween night, but that time has come and gone and still the mischief occurs. It was appalling to see the litter which has been spread on Knollwood Drive and along Hickory drive, also. We hope that parents will admonish their children to cease and desist this messy action. It certainly does nothing to improve the appearance of these areas. HOSPITALIZED IN MCHENRY Harry Johnson entered McHenry hospital a week ago last Monday, and was still a patient at the beginning of the week. According to his wife, Irene, she transported him to the hospital and he was in a great deal of pain. He has been undergoing a series of tests to determine the cause of his discomfort. ( BEACHHOUSE CUSTODIAN NEEDED According to Ron Godina, an adult custodian for the beachhouse is desperately needed. When the other notices were printed, some of the young lads of the community responded. We think they are to be commended for offering their services, but the Cullom-Knoll feels this a job for an adult. Hie tasks are small and you will be reimbursed for the effort. If interested, please call Ron at 385-3280. MAXWELLS MOVE TO FLORIDA. Gerturde and Howard Maxwell , who have owned property here since 1943 and resided here permanently since 1947, pulled up stakes recently, and hied themselves to Hollywood, Florida.
